Yeah looking at the Northern side their are some possible tasty draws to be had there and by that I mean tasty draws for us, say away at some Yorkies somewhere, although maybe not quite such a tasty draw for whoever we play!

Not sure if that is ironic or not?

I know last year we were drawn away to Derby and it brought a realism to fact that we were no longer a non league club and that we went straight into draws with other league teams.

Such a good feeling.
Sarcastic I think you mean.

It was never my favourite competition, just like the JPT, although we had a couple of good games away at Leicester (lost on pens) and Derby (lost in ET).

Our first ever League Cup draw. :woo:

We've played in the JPT before, so that won't be a first. Lost 2-0 at Brighton. We were robbed.

Derby at home for us guaranteed away sell out, that'll do nicely.

Fleetwood... typical. Despite having never been in the same division as them, we seem to have played them every season since they got into the league.

I thought that draw went particularly well. Nice and smooth with no glaring errors.

MK Dons at home is definitely winnable. Fancy a crack at this comp, Bradford and Wycombe have shown it is possible for league 2 clubs to go a long way.

Norwich fan on Twitter has described it as a cup final for us. Yep.

They beat us in the JPT live on Sky a couple years ago which was embarrassing for us considering we were in L1 and they were L2.

Not too much else to say about it really.

Home to Charlton. At least it's somewhat winnable.

Possibly the most awkward, nervous and error ridden draw I have ever witnessed!
Its saying something as I was at a local "shire" (wont say which shire just incase) FA Cup draw a few years ago when the bag of balls was dropped after just the 2nd tie and they couldn't find 3 balls so had to postpone it

Many years ago I watched the live draw for the FA Cup equivalent in another country. The teams were seeded, with the top seeds in one bowl and the lower ones in another. Two pundits picked a container containing a team name from each bowl, put them in a third bowl, then drew one of the containers to be the home team. As they had both seen the containers put in the third bowl they knew which one was the top seed and which wasn't, so even when the containers had been jiggled around a bit it was a complete surprise to me that virtually all the top seeds had a home draw...fix, I hear you shout!

That's the thing with Charlton. Traditionally, we've always been capable of beating anybody and losing to anybody in short succession without any form of rhyme, reason or logic. Back in Y2K We played brilliantly in the Premier League (can't remember who the opponents were) on the Saturday and then got knocked out of the League Cup by (then) 3rd Division Bournemouth on the Tuesday. And that's not the only time such things have happened. Oh well.... life's never dull at the Valley.

Impossible to say whether we'll roll over, or roll you over. Either event is possible in equal measure.

PS..... Could you give Chiefs a call and ask them to recall Jack Nowell from the Lions tour. He's having a 'mare down there.

Fulham at home means they'll be some skill shown at Adams Park for a change but not by us we'll be well beaten unless they play their kids.
