Win or lose tonight, who else is going to sit up for the draw for the next round in the early hours of tomorrow morning? I can feel my sphincter tightening in anticipation already. I shall have plenty of cans of Thailand's second-favourite energy drink to sustain me through the small hours. And I can watch re-runs of Neil Warnock's Cardiff style EP on WolvesTV.

To be fair, Blackburn might sell more tickets for tonights match if it was being played in a remote village in Henan province.

Guessing if we had another 5k on the "plastic; only turn up for big games" comments would be out? We had the same tonight as we'll get on Saturday against MK Dons.

It's the biggest game of the lot not sure as a supporter why you'd choose not to go. Not you personally as I've no idea if you went or not. Suppose anyone who didn't go made the right choice anyway.

I went; don't blame anyone who didn't go. 7 years of wank management, not beaten that lot since 2010, they had beaten us 3 times in a row, not at all surprised they didn't want to shell out to watch us get outclassed by Burnley on our own patch.

Tbf, the scoreline flattered us a little. Until we scored, it looked like Saints were going to put a few past us. We were lucky. But then after the goal, we really looked comfortable even if we were pinned back a bit.
Despite all the whining from Saints fans afterwards, they played best at 3-4-3 too.
I'm curious at the 17,000 gate. No way did the place look more than half full!! I'd have said 12,000.

What did you make of the Dicko chances? Happy to see him get those chances but surely could have finished one of them.

Another boring tie.
Play the same team as against Watford.

Spurs away for us or Derby. I like these new Chinese overlords.

Swansea at home, how exciting.. (they'll be saying exactly the same)

I kind of hope we go full strength for this one as it is winnable, and given we're not going to do too much in the league this season, a Cup run wouldn't hurt.

Would have been better if it was the Lane still.

A midweek trip to Wembley infront of 30k is not how I want to watch my team there tbh. Wembley should be the pinnacle, not the third round.

Agreed on the venue. But still Spurs away.

You'd of took 2k to whl you will take 8 or 9k to Wembley. Whl was superb though

Not knocking Barnsley's away support, but I would be surprised if they take 8 or 9k, I would expect nearer 4 or 5k for a midweek league cup 3rd round game.

Not really fussed about the away support side of things, more the venue. I'd have rather gone to WHL with 900 of us than 9k at Wembley.

We've got Barnsley to try and beat first before this becomes a serious issue for anyone though.

My mate Bobby says you don't do much better there on Saturdays either.

Home to Bristol Rovers. Both sets of fans will be somewhat underwhelmed with that. Can someone remind, me, though..are Rovers the bigger one in Bristol. Or the wanky smaller club who've won fuck all and have smelly supporters?

Both of us see it as winnable. With the way our 'reserves' performed against Southampton I'd love us to go far in this cup. Norris looks like a very good 2nd choice goalkeeper too.

Norris made a spectacular save (from Austin?) but he made quite a lot of mistakes. He went scurrying out too early twice during the game and had to retreat in shame. Looks good, but I'd rather have Burgoyne as the back up right now. Or Flatt.

Bobby can suck a dick. We've got a 50/50 success rate.

First ever team to win at the new Wembley in a competitive match too I think. :bdick:

Shrewsbury beat bristol rovers in the 1st ever playoff final there. Id have a guess that Chelsea beat man utd too in the fa cup final before the playoffs.
