Villa reserves vs Boro reserves. I'm sure it'll be very entertaining...

11.197 at villa park tonight. you would probably have to go back to the 80s to find a crowd as low for a league or cup game.

Could of scored 6. Not really sure what's going on at the moment. But I'm fucking enjoying it.

We have been so bad tonight, carrying on our terrible recent form.

Last season we were great at holding onto leads. But that is useless now that we cannot score. By the week it gets even more baffling why we did not invest in multiple strikers over the Summer.

Yet another game where we didn't play any striker, and shock we don't score. The quickly Kermorgant is back from injury the better.

Total domination. Made 9 changes and completely outplayed stoke. Really enjoying watching this team at the minute.

I don't want to get carried away but the last 180 minutes of football have been absolutely superb! Unbeaten in 8 now too.

A good win vs a very resiliant Bristol Rovers side. Will Norris seems to get better every time he plays. As good as John Ruddy has been I don't think it will be long untill Norris takes the number 1 shirt.

Good stuff that. Always better when you haven't run your best players into the ground too.

When is he supposed to be back from injury cause we badly need him? Like you say just sums up our lack of striker options.

Utter dross tonight. There was some decent crosses into the box but of course nobody on the end of it.

Stoke clearly were complacent last night. It was a bit of a odd gameplan by stoke: Despite Crouchy being on the pitch they never went long-ball. which they probably should've done. Despite that it was a very good peformance by us, our passing was superb, defensively we were very solid, and we took our chances. Great game, we're really looking like a different side this season.

Sounded like we were unlucky last night, goal looked offside to me too with obstruction of the keeper. Ah well, fair play Wolves - I said i'd be happy with less than a 3-0 loss. Just annoying it had to go to extra time

They went long ball a few times, Flinty headed them all away.
After that they seemed to try and get behind our FBs, mainly Vyner.

Well Bristol Rovers will be gutted to have gone out. Couldn't go (work) but two friends said they played better, looked more composed, and really should have won.

Here's what we do in these situations. We blame it on shit refs and aggressive defenders.

Thanks for posting your team sheets as huge fucking jpegs so we can see the names of all your dross in 84 point bold Helvetica. My day is complete.
Not a problem, they were linked straight from Twitter so I didn't pick the size.

I think our lack of activity this summer in buying more than one striker was quite frankly pathetic. They had the whole period to identify somebody, or should I say somebody other than Oliveira, and all it amounted to was purchasing more wingers.

You should be happy, we have one senior striker in our squad, I'm guessing you have more than one?

We have two.

One is 36 years old, injured with no expected date for return.

The other is Bodvarsson, who you were happy enough to sell despite it leaving you with one striker.

Going after ten different strikers in the Summer was all well and good, but you have to actually sign some..
