That'll be Notts police at their best. I've never known any bother at a Mansfield vs County game, why would there be?

Who do Forest have?

Rotherham.

Only ever seen it kick off at your place, usually pretty serene at ours.

One of them will be moved, I quite like the idea of a Friday night tbh, just not Sunday.

Does if you are coming from Manchester, will have to take the day off. Not sure Notts police will be too keen on a friday night tbh

Sure it's their turn to be moved.

Don't think ours will be anyway, Sunday is out as the ladies are already playing at ML that day and the police aren't going to fancy Notts vs. Mansfield on a Friday night.

Surely they'd rather have Forest on a Friday night than us?

Not sure, would be a bigger crowd but less potential for bother I suppose.

We usually just alternate who has to move and I think it's their turn this time.

Absolutely chuffed with Pompey away opening day and Rovers away last day from a piss up perspective, although I think every club should have one of those fixtures at home.

Pretty happy with the way everything has fallen, only disappointment being County away on a Tuesday night, but hey, you can't have everything ;)

This is as bad as it gets, I'm holidaying in France for four weeks and not due back to the following weekend, need a cunning plan.

The fixtures are incredibly complex to put together, but with only about half a dozen Tuesday nights in the season, and with such a southern bias, surely this could've been formulated a bit better? Someone was going to be punished one way or another - more than likely the Northern sides.

They plan to have long journeys on a Tuesday as clubs as for it. This gets explained every year!

Do they? Not sure why a home club would want that. Its been compensated for us a little bit travelling to Hartlepool on the same week as Morecambe - they'll probably stay up there. Doesn't exactly help the supporters though does it?

No it does not! And as a courtesy they should switch to the Mon night to help out fans and clubs, it should work both ways , swings and roundabouts

Because the loss of income of hosting Carlisle (for example) on a Tuesday night is less than the loss from hosting them on a Saturday. Long journeys have fewer fans anyway so you may as well have it midweek.

Dagenham in January just before I head back to Uni. Ace. Plus we will get 3 points.

Sorry, I don't follow this argument at all. Policing maybe less, but now Carlisle have the prospect of perhaps only 150 Luton fans up there this season, compared with over 1000 last season.

Either way common sense needs to be shown.

Sending Carlisle to Plymouth on a Tuesday night isn't right.

Easy way to solve this problem; promote Carlisle and relegate Gillingham :cool1:

Can you just imagine the notts plod if you've got forest and county both at home with Mansfield and Rotherham (who really can't stand each other) all in town the same day!

That's one of the many reasons why we aren't allowed to play at home on the same day.

Well, obviously.

Do you and forest take it turns to move matches or do the police decide

Catching up on them all this morning, some of those Boxing Day fixtures are killers.

Newport away at Barnet? Ouch.

We play York on Boxing day and Hartlepool play Notts County, would have been a lot better if we played Notts and Hartlepool played York
