Trust me, I'm not hoping at all :shifty:

In all seriousness - It would be nice to have all the home nations qualify for the Euros. This format definitely helps with that.

You must put all resources into qualifying here though - you could play at home for starters. How frustrating would it be not to be there as Glasgow hosts a few games! I'm also not sure you'll get a better chance than now as 'B Teams' will be relegated making it harder next time for you lot.
Yeah I agree with that, this is the time to do it if we can. Its our best shot at qualifying in yonks, so fingers crossed we can do it. 1998 was a long time ago now!

Sounds like Scotland shot them selves in the foot.

1-0 in Israel then have a man sent off and scored and OG for the winner .

Blimey, to be joint points with Albania & Israel - I wasn't expecting that from Scotland!

It's literally painful to watch this shite under McLeish. We have finally hit the nadir.

Surely he has to go to give you a chance of qualifying?

Atmosphere akin to a training match and being played like one too .

Although we have hit the woodwork twice and looked dangerous from set plays ..

It wont happen, the useless SFA got rid of Strachan, took four months to find his successor who could've been someone a bit more forward thinking. However they went back to McLeish who buggered off as soon as he could the last time to manage Birmingham! And then will not get rid until there is no chance of us qualifying for the Euro's either through the Nations League (in which we do have half a chance) or via regular qualification. So it means at least another couple of years of players being played in an archaic style, out of position, and calling up players who are even worse than the previous generation.

This must be what following non-league football is like, only thats at a higher standard than this drivel.

Gibraltar 1-0 in Armenia - can they hold on?

Would that be their first ever win...

A loss against the Dutch always hurts but with this prick as the new "Bondscoach" even more ;)

I had already a bad feeling when I saw that Löw's solution for our attacking problems was giving Mark Uth his first cap. He isn't even a regular at Schalke and hasn't scored a goal since April (when he was still at Hoffenheim). Looked a bit clueless to say it mildly. OK, Uth's performance wasn't the main reason for this loss but I can't help myself. Löw looks more and more clueless and the coach discussion about him won't stop.

And now France on Tuesday. Tbh I wouldn't mind if we lose again, to show even the last dumb ass in the DFB that we're in crisis. Sometimes I am under the impression that they haven't realized it yet.

Bear in mind however Salty they were courting Michael O'Neil for long and weary. Just thought I'd throw that in for some obscure reason because I'm no really interested in the Internationals....

Albania qualified for the last Euros. They’d expect to be finishing above the likes of Scotland.

What a defeat. Cant wait to see löw leave now.

Anyway: i really like the term 'Kacktor' which were used very often yesterday even i havent seen a single Kacktor in the match.

A Kacktor is a goal you have conceded by a fatal mistake by your own hand, huge deflection or an extreme lucky opponent. Literally it means shit goal.

Do you have something similar in english to describe such silly goals?

Some examples for Kacktore

Aye and even he saw the mess we were in and decided to stay with Northern Ireland! That says it all!

Thing is your probably a scrappy win against Israel at home away from winning the Group and then who knows what might happen.

Shame it sounds like there has been a bit of trouble but maybe not a surprise as there does seem to be a bit of history between English fans and Spanish police.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Decent goal from Sterling. Hopefully get the pressure off him a bit.

Going to win it all now - isn't that how it works in the media?

A game of 2 halves performances wise - excellent attacking display 1st half and we had to battled hard to just hold on - as expected Spain were always going to come back at us.

Great game to watch. The 2nd goal is probably the best I've seen this season.

Absolutely superb, that second goal by Sterling was brilliant, and credit in the second half is due as we defended well, Rashford in particular was quality.

We have to right Kyle Walker off as a centre half though, he will never be a centre half, he barely defends when he plays right back.
