To be fair, your home attendances at the Ricoh normally do get a big boost when the Gills come to town, so maybe you would bring 2k here after all

The whole stand is about 3.2k from memory, and we give about half that to away fans.

For the Millwall match end of season, I assume they won't have our fans in that little bit of the home end in that stand? (no idea why you want to sit there anywhere lol) Do you think they will give the whole stand to away fans, seeing that its a local club and will have a big following, or just the usual half? I have only been going to matches for last 2 years - so will never have seen this large a following at Priestfield - tho sheffield 1st game of season was decent

No it will probably be split between home and away. We've only ever given Millwall the whole end once, but we've had it split several times. Would imagine the match would sell out so makes sense to have as many home fans there as possible.

Depends. In many ways I wish more would turn up each week, but in other ways I totally understand the reason not to turn up to a flatpack rugby stadium which has 22,000 empty seats.

In the grand scheme of things, 10,000 turning up to support a club as depressing as Coventry City is bloody impressive.

Of course, but without making this sound like a competition, I feel we have it the worst.

Take Blackpool and Portsmouth for example, go back a few years and they have had success. We on the other hand have had absolutely nothing to shout about in recent times. I have supported the club for just over 20 years and I have not once seen a successful side. This year has been the first time we have come close, yet we are still going to finish about 12th!

Depressing.

It's not THAT bad, I know of a lot of fans who support one team and then have a bit of a liking for another based on friends/ quality of football etc

I don't support and local sides, but I would say that is expectable.

Well, in terms of distance Palace and Gillingham are 2 of the closest clubs to me. And not being from a football supporting family, growing up I didn't really care about football - which also meant when the time came that I actually came to care about football - its rather tough to choose a team. And given that Gillingham was the club that I had seen the most times in my youth (with an uncle - at the time i did not care for football) that seemed the logical choice... So starting 2 seasons ago I have been going there around half the home games each year, next 1 this weekend. Since then some mates have taken me to Palace numerous times, and well, no matter how much you hate a team, you go to enough home games and you will get a soft spot for them

Same here, I go to Truro quite often, and even that is a 26 mile round trip
