Yes that is a pretty shocking following for them i know its a fair distance but you would still expect 8/900 with league position in mind
We've travelled pretty well this season but I agree that is quite poor. (I didn't go though so I can't criticise others for not doing so). We always take poor numbers to Scunthorpe for some reason, I think playing them away in the middle of January is just one of those very unappealing fixtures.
You went for ten minutes and walked out?
Well - this lasted long..Preston are one of the very few teams in this division to be taking over a 1,000 away fans to every ground where more than 1,000 seats are available. We mean no harm to the ground and are there to have a good time and increase the atmosphere
I think we're expecting 4k+ at your place in a few weeks, should be a good game, and hoping for at least half an atmosphere..I thought particularly in the 2nd half our fans were quite loud. (loud for us anyway). I think because our away end is so big, you need quite a substantial away following for the atmosphere to be good. I know when clubs in the past have brought a lot of people they have usually enjoyed their day at our ground because of the 9k away allocation. (Wolves last season as an example)
We've had 4 FA Cup games to pay for this month (3 of them away although the MK Dons II game was a cheap day out), so I think a fair few baulked at the £25 cost for Swindon and the likelihood of us getting hammered and decided not to go. Think over 400 ain't that bad in the circumstances.

How was Warehouse?134 Orient at Preston on Friday, quite good considering we was only given 4 weeks notice of the game change. We'd have taken 300 if it was on Saturday.
Where in the stand were you at the cov game? We were trying to keep an atmosphere going throughout by meI hope it's better than Cov. 3800 of us with 3000 of those sat on their arses making no attempt at creating an atmosphere. Pissed me off, could've been so much better

Complaining about fans not standing and singing is so childish.
'if you've made the effort to go there, then you shouldn't sit there in silence.'
There shouldn't be any real opinion on this, if people make the effort to travel to away games then they're entitled to do what they want as long as it's not hurling abuse. If that means sitting and watching the game then that's their choice.
The thing is, if you were playing Bristol Rovers, they would bring 15k alone!
Imagine the attendance then.
Boringggggggggg....In the event of away fans trying to purchase tickets in the home end, club protocol is that you have to be pre-registered on our database to get tickets in the home end.

What a absolute crock of shit that is!Fair enough lads. I appreciate older fans will often not apply to this, given it is not easy to stand for 90 minutes..
Fascinating.
