What a absolute crock of shit that is!
I'm an older fan and have definitely made a lot more of a row at games than you young 'uns!
FFS, atmosphere was around waaay before you were even thought of and it WAS a lot better then!
Where's me commode? I can't possibly stand up for 90 minutes!!
There's a coach load of us old bastards coming to MK and (if we can stand up for long enough without needing a nurse) we will make one hell of a row supporting our beloved reds.
Jeez, book me bloody coffin as I'm over 40!

I said before on OTIB that there should be more singing/standing once and got absolutely slated by a load of 'older' fans who were saying they aren't physically able to stand for 90 minutes. That's why I've taken that viewpoint. But I want to make it clear that when I say older I do not mean middle aged, I'm thinking more like over 65. I know this can be the case for over 65's as I have grandparents who wouldn't be able to stand for 90 mins themselves. Again, this obviously doesn't apply to EVERY over 65 which is why I said often, not always. I hope when I'm that age I can still join in with the atmosphere, (if I make it that far.)

I know atmosphere was better before, that's why I've said many times I would've LOVED to have been around in the 70s/80s to be a part of it. That's why I want it to be better now, which was what my initial comment was all about.

Calm down, you have taken that comment completely the wrong way mate.

5433 Chesterfield at Derby, plus an unknown but reasonable number in the home end.

Cracking is pushing it a little. Not bad for us but still very average. Seemed more to be honest from within the away end, but I suppose it often does.

I bet that was a cracking atmosphere, would have been great to see them get a goal.

My post was actually meant as light hearted Aaron. Sorry if that didn't come across.

2000 sold for MK away already. City are waiting for more tickets from MK.
Not bad so far with 2 weeks to go.

decent from Crewe but to call it ' cracking ' stretches it. On my last trek to Crewe it took me 20 minutes, surely 2000 plus ought to be the order of the day ? Not bad from Crawley either really considering.

The Crawley following at our place on Tuesday could be scary. We could probably fit them all in the directors box as a goodwill gesture to anyone daft enough to do the trip in their position.

really considering.

Vale isn't easy to get to by train, the coach takes longer than 20minutes due to police taking us half way round stoke, plus there is a limit to the amount of coaches we can have due to financial reasons. You wouldn't drive to vale either without worrying about getting a window smashed. Very little pubs or things to do in burslem. Not a day out if you ask me. We will forever take more to Shrewsbury than vale for this reason. Vise versa for vale fans at Crewe, the station is 3min walk, there is half a dozen pubs, McDonald's and chippys galore.

Burslem has loads of pubs. I've not seen many smashed cars at Vale either (the only one was the one where a copper rammed a Barnsley hooligans head through the rear window!) secure car park and as long as you don't have a big "I love Crewe" sign in the window who's going to know if it's Vale or Crewe? Poor excuse.

It seems to read like it's further from Crewe to Burslem than the other way around for some reason.

not many pubs in Burslem is the most ridiculous statement ever, also when you go to an away game what exactly are you looking to 'do' , unfortunately we don,t have museums or art galleries but just try going the game ? 20 mins by car and the train is as easy as anything as the Police escort you from Longport, dear oh dear. I am going to Barnsley on saturday in car, my day out will involve a pub lunch with my lad and the game, shame Barnsley has no monuments or statues i could visit to make it a proper day out.
