Amazing, but I really don't get it - I'd rather save my cash to follow my team anywhere but Franchise...
Our first opportunity to tick this ground off our lists and potentially our last as our clubs appear to be heading in opposite directions.

I think they also count visitors to Ikea in their attendance as well. :2thumb:

No, just head to Fenny Stratford, about a mile away.

Anyone who moans about lack of proper pubs just needs to do a bit of research. Fair enough there's just chain bars and restaurants at the ground, but there's about four decent pubs about a fifteen/twenty minute walk away in Fenny. Most away fans have been to ours enough times to know its a crap day out if you pitch up at 2pm and don't really have much choice other than the Frankie & Benny's, Chimichanga's and Nando's or a pint in the ground. Therefore, why do it and then go on forums to bitch about it being "a bit crap"

If making a day of it involves a decent session in a decent pub, then we're no different to about half the clubs in the country, in that you'll have to rely on Google and a bit of local knowledge, and probably a cab to the ground. Likewise, It's no different for us at a large number of away games (including Hillsborough, where you can't seemingly buy a pint as an away fan within a mile of the ground).
Agree mate, only 1 pub I'm aware of within a mile radius of Hillsborough that accepts away fans. Would be much better off in town, then getting tram (approx 25 mins) into Hillsborough if you want to make a day of it.

That's what we've always done. Use the same pubs for games at yours as we do for Bramall Lane. Plenty of choice in Sheffieldm and that pretty much makes both of you the best away day of the season.

736? Your home support wasn't too good either?
Our average last season was about 6800 which has dropped massively for various reasons many are boycotting currently. I'd only been to two home games in 2016 before Sat + only went cos I got freebies. Many simply don't want to give the board any money anymore. 5200 home fans is poor for us but to be expected.

We are unsurprisingly taking very little to Gillingham Saturday.

Presuming they boycotted due to being charged full whack again
Yeah they did, don't blame anyone for not paying £50 to watch 150 minutes of Swindon vs Bristol Rovers.

It's a tough one because at the end of the day the home club still had to pay all the usual match day costs for the 1st game. So I can understand it not being free but it definitely should be made the very minimum swindon could of made it without losing money if you know what I mean.

3,801 at scunny yet the person in charge of there tickets won't give us the extra seats on the side because they think they might sell them. Might have a change of heart tommorrow.

Awful attendance. Scunny fans have never had it so good yet still can't be bothered to turn up.

Unfortunately our home support has and always will be low. Scunthorpe isn't big enough nor does it have any sort of catchment area which means pretty much all of our fans come from Scunthorpe itself. The players do deserve a lot more support than they get with how they're playing at the moment.

Think something similar happened to Barnsley or Doncaster (maybe both) and if I remember correctly they took original figure, expect same for you, so your average shouldn't be adversely affected.

Isn't Lincolnshire one of the biggest counties (area-wise) in the country? Granted, there's bugger all in it....

yes there was a boycott for this game, but because i couldn't go to the first game i turned up as one of our scabs. it was nice to see a low crowd from both sides sticking two fingers up to the money grabbing power and lovely having a copper for each rovers fan!

Yes but Scunthorpe is trapped in a corner with Hull, Doncaster, Grimsby and Lincoln all around it. Scunthorpe isn't very big itself as well. I wish we got bigger home attendances, we got 6k fans when we were in the Championship but our demise and Hull's success has caused us to lose a few fans.

Hull have hardly took any of you have they. They can't even sell 21k home tickets in the premier league.

I think a lot of that is due to the protests against the Allams. I know personally a few people who have stopped watching Scunny in favour to go watch Hull which is stupid. Places like Winterton/Winteringham/Barton that are near the Humber Bridge but on this side of the water are becoming more Hull supported towns as well.
