We won't be going anywhere pal, so yes I don't mind Valley Parade. What about you lot? Any chance we might be engaging hostilities with you next season?

If we are in will be a very very happy man mate

1,393 very happy Oxford fans at Bolton.

This keeps our away average around the 1,500 mark, which must be near the top for this league? Anyone got any averages for the season?

Much as I dislike to agree with a Blade, You claimed you had sold 2k, you then claim you counted nearly 200 (really? That's sad) more in other stand, yet the away attendance was less than 2k. Your numbers just don't add up, (not for the 1st time either). Then you claim coach turned away, others outside stand etc. Sorry mate but it happens to often where you are concerned, for anyone to believe what you are claiming anymore. Anyway main thing is you won, hope you go up, I enjoy a day out at Valley Parade.

Whoah whoah whoah.

Another who's missed the point. I can only relay information that has been provided by the club.

The club announced that we had sold out "almost 2,000" tickets.

I then, posted this on the Away attendance thread in a League One forum.

I said it would be a shame if they didn't make the overflow available. The next morning, it was, but wasn't made official. Tickets were available to purchase over the phone, and could be collected on the day.

A little Blade with a massive chip on his shoulder then piped up and spouted his usual nonsense. I came back to the forum to make him aware that his little prediction of us only taking 50 more in the overflow was incorrect, as we had actually taken circa 200 (its very easy to count when the section was so sparse and the game wasn't up to much).

Not once had I confirmed anything personally - merely been the messenger via what was posted on social media.

You lot FAR to much into what I say, looking for the smallest thing to point score. I've had it for the best part of 8 years on this forum, and it doesn't look like it'll change. It doesn't bother me, as most of the time it's the posters like Little blade, and that deluded Vale fan who IMO look like an utter cretin and not myself.

Ours is around 1500. Bradford must be top at the minute. You seem to have quite a few missing so no point doing your tables till you get them is there.

Estimates in there. It doesn't affect the top end of the table too much.

Ahh reyt. Ours should be on the rise providing results stay the same. Shrewsbury 1000 Bradford 2200 chesterfield 2800 Charlton if near top 2.5k. Our next 4 aways.

I'm sure you'll take more than 1,000 to Shrewsbury, or is it a Tuesday night?

Impressive followings from Oxford United.

Especially as we've only played two games that are not over 100 miles away. Bristol Rovers midday on a Sunday where we sold out the 1,250 allocation, and MK Dons where we took 3,900. We've taken 1,300+ to both Sheffield Utd and Bolton and the two midweek games at Fleetwood and Southend are the only ones that pulled the average down.

There's a buzz about the place, and I expect the good away followings to continue.

Even so, didn't expect you to be comparable to Bolton and Bradford, excellent support imo.

We have a lot more potential than most people realise, but have been shit ever since Firoz Kassam got his hands on the club in the late 1990s. At that time we were top half of what's now the Championship, but in a ground that couldn't cope (love it though I did). Kassam raped the club and by the time he sold us (but kept the new stadium that he built with the proceeds of the Manor for himself) we were Conference bound. The guys that bought the club from him were not much better.

It's only since the current owner came in that we've started to get our club back on a sound footing. To give you an idea of the potential, we took 35,000 to Wembley for our Conference play off final in 2010 and also for last year's JPT Final. To put that into perspective, it was more than any of the six play off finalists, apart from Wednesday, and 10,000 more than our opponents Barnsley.

If we can wrestle the stadium away from Kasham and finish it properly, together with continued success on the field the sky's the limit.

About 6,500 at home, with very little in the way of visiting supporters. We set the Conference record of over 11,000 against Woking at home in our first year, which was effectively a full house as there were only 100 visitors in a section of 1,500 seats.

We also averaged over 1,000 at away games in our first and last season's down there. It was a bit of an adventure the first season, and we thought we'd come straight back up, but by the time we did come up (after four long seasons) I'm not sure many of us could have taken much more. It's grim, and I really feel for the ex league clubs down there, as you're everybody else's big scalp.

Some cracking followings so far from Oxford however they've had 3 of the most glamorous trips in MK, us and bolton. So can only see it heading one way

But two of those are 300 mile round trips. For us games at Swindon, Millwall, Coventry, Northampton, Charlton etc hold more appeal. Shame Coventry is midweek, or I could see another MK like attendance.

Yes, at the time it was the record by quite some way. I'm aware you beat it by a hundred or two in your play off semi final a year and a half ago, well done, but it remains the record for a normal league game.
The record for a regular league game was set in our last game of the season against Alfreton.

Only wiki so :dk:
I got this from the Conference's own page so it's probably more valid.http://www.footballconference.co.uk/news/details.php?news_id=15220

Beat our attendance by 20 in your final game. Didn't realise that, lets move on quickly, as all this talk about the Conference is giving me nightmarish flashbacks!!!
