But two of those are 300 mile round trips. For us games at Swindon, Millwall, Coventry, Northampton, Charlton etc hold more appeal. Shame Coventry is midweek, or I could see another MK like attendance.

My point really was that you won't take anywhere near as many to bury,Oldham,Scunthorpe etc as you did to us and bolton. Your followings have been more than impressive so far but your average won't be 1500 come may will it?

Possibly not, and your point is valid about Bury, Scunny, and Oldham, but it depends how we're doing too. We haven't set the league alight (yet!) and Saturday was our first away win, but with a reasonable bit of success, I wouldn't be surprised to see it end up pretty close to the 1,500 figure. I forget the exact stats but I think we took over 1,000 to all of our away games from December onwards last year, so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

PS: We won't be taking anywhere near that to our EFL Trophy game tomorrow, as it's being boycotted.

You'll definitely get the 2800 at our gaff. Our support has dropped right off for a number of reasons mainly related to our pathetic board. I won't be in a rush to return until they start to treat the fans with a bit of respect.

It's an away support thread, where else can people discuss attendances?

Last time Oxford came to Vale park they bought about 150- 200 ........just saying....Vale Park in all its floodlit glory. The #oufc fans are the small group behind the goal, making all the noise.

That looks like it was before kick off, and there were not many more Vale fans in the ground looking at that picture. Expect a few more from us this time, although it's not the away game I look out for first when the fixtures come out!

Quite surprised that Vale have had less fans attend their ground than us seeing as they're pretty much in the middle of the country and we.....aren't.

Maybe people have finally noticed Burslem is horrendous!

Just a wind up Eric, it was live on Sky on a Monday night Oct 2012, your followings are very good, Sarfends were too last season, 1st season up syndrome, we experienced it ourselves, Sarfend bought more on a Friday night last season than they did for a Saturday this time around. Ours are steady but we suffered from rubbish ticket allocations at Crewe, Shrews and Burton.
Teams like Oldham have good figures due to taking 3000 plus to the likes of Bury and Rochdale so figures can be distorted.
Overall teams like yourselves, Swindle, Gas etc have a lot further to travel and command decent numbers so hats off.

Depends what you want Joe, horrendous dump i agree but not if you are after a few sherbets, upwards of 12 boozers.
Maybe fact we have had you, Sarfend , Scunny and Dale night match explains the poor away turn outs as well as the fact Burslem is not the most salubrious surroundings, i would rather that though than some new stadium surrounded by Toys R Us , Tesco etc etc.

God I hate posting in this thread, however I couldn't agree with you more. If you see pictures of grotty grounds like Priestfield, The County Ground, Vale Park etc, you can immediately recognise them, as they are one offs.

Then show me a picture of say Shrewsbury or Chesterfields new ground and I wouldn't have a clue which was which. Show me Saltergate, or Gay Meadow, I would recognise it in a flash. They are shit, but have character.

Ideally you'd get a happy medium. Newish build (not a box) fairly central. I'm not one of these that pines for the old days of standing on a pavement with a leaky gutter above and pissing up a wall (such as the 'toilets' at Saltergate used to be!). I much prefer Priestfield (not that grotty in the home ends!) now to what it used to be, despite having the good memories from then. I would say we have a decent enough ground in a shit area, which is the right way round for me.

Fair enough, and I fell for it!

Bolton have 3,251 tickets for our game at Gigg this month. Seeing as how much they like to claim they're a big club they should easily sell that even with it being on a Monday and on Sky. First league game against each other since 98/99 season.

Should be a tasty affair.

They sold out at rochdale last Tuesday night only just though I think. Similar allocation on tv and they've turned shit my bet is they won't do.

How the mighty have fallen mate ;)

That's a pretty good boycott for a club averaging 19k. People are always gonna go I don't think we could get much less it would be nice if we could of got a sub 1k crowd. If results stay the same at least were out.

Again, you fail to miss the point.

Read my posts, digest the fruitful information one gives to you - hopefully then, YOU won't embarrass yourself.

Thick as fuck, you really are.

"Failing to miss the point" means they got the point, which makes your last sentence quite ironic.

About 1600 sold for Peterborough in two Tuesday's time. Got another 700 and general sale starts today. Think these will go pretty quickly as well.
