Remember 2 sets of fans trying to celebrate on the pitch at Hillsborough, QPR after gaining promotion to Championship, in fairness most stayed in the seats but the few who got onto the pitch soon either ran back or got a clip and Palace after staying up but relegating us,
probably about 100 ran on they too either took a few slaps or returned very quickly to their seats. Not a thug but I must admit I was happy to see the Palace fans get a slap, just sent us down and ran on the pitch, what did they expect. If they had stayed in their seats and celebrated fair enough, nothing would have happened inside the ground and they wouldn't have been too scared to come out of the ground after. Bit different with QPR, although celebrating on somebody else's pitch is seen as taking the piss, it is something I would probably do (not at certain places) but I would never go on the pitch after sending another club down. If they (United) get on the pitch and Vale do too, I would expect some serious trouble as I wouldn't expect them to retreat to their seats if confronted, could end up being quite a nasty day. (When they go up it will be a nasty day anyway) Remember us going to Vale Park in 91 hopefully for promotion party brought about 6k midweek. Just about to park up and go in a pub pre match when the windows come out and loads of Wednesday start jumping out through it, decided to drive on and give that one a miss. No celebrating on the pitch that day a draw meant we had to wait a few days until promotion at Hillsborough. Strangely no pitch invasion then either, everyone stayed in their seats and waited for the team to come back out for a lap of honour. Happy days.

I remember that game too. This is it.

Wish we had terracing like that still in the Bycars, seats at the back with terracing at the front.

If Sheff Utd is anything like Walsall last season. The police were well on top and formed a line in front of the paddock, but only a few stewards in front of the Walsall fans, if they'd have been promoted there's no way they would have been stopped from getting on to the pitch. Like you say seeing another set of fans celebrate on your pitch takes the piss a bit. No doubt some will try to get on to confront the Utd fans IF it happens at our place, but you're guaranteeing a sentence and probably a hefty banning order. Vale would probably ban you for life from the ground, not that that means anything, I know lads that have been banned for life on 5 different occasions :) it's just a letter of thanks in their eyes, like a trophy. The club have no way of policing it.

i was generalising ha ha, i think Chesterfield are worse also , we won 1 drew 6 lost 10.
9 points from 17 aways truly woeful.
And Rovrum are defo worse.
In my eyes and what i have seen we are one of the worst away sides in the country, i am sure Rovrum give it a go and have a shot :conf:

Decent from Shrews, better than they have the past few seasons. Awful conditions as said. Made some decent noise at times.

Just 908 Coventry fans at MK. Significantly less than previous times. Sad to see.

The last 3 times we have played shrewsbury at home they have only brought between 500 to 600 on a saturday afternoon so 719 is decent and probably would have been 1000 on a saturday.

Those are the loyal fans that will pretty much travel everywhere. Same will vale swindon chesterfield only take 200 or odd every away game at the moment as you pretty much know your going lose.

Absolute bollox they've been taking 2/300 to other games they don't have a loyal support of 900 away fans. More like 300 at most
