We've been given a paltry 2,100 at Blackpool.

Apparently away allocation has been reduced so that away fans won't outnumber the home fans. Pathetic really, but not suprised, asked for the full 6,000 stand last time and it was turned down and left empty.

Not trolling or anything here, but would you really sell 2100 let alone 6000?

You didn't even sell 2000 at our place and we're closer. Granted Blackpool is a much better awayday...

I'm on about last time we went we sold over 3,000 in one day and it never made general sale. We requested the full stand at the side had over 2,000 on a waiting list. We would have sold 6,000 last time.

This time around we'd have done around 3,000 Blackpool on a Saturday is a very popular away day for us. Given they have an empty stand holding 4,000 there's no reason why they cant give more tickets to any side as a few teams will sell out 2,100 I would expect.

Edit: almost sold out for Blackpool, only went on sale today I think. Absolute joke.

Sold out our first allocation for Portsmouth away at the end of the month, not sure how many but someone said on our site around 1,500. Good going if it's true as it won't be going on general sale yet, could sell out depending on how we are doing.

Just a shame Charlton is on a Tuesday night again, as we took 1,000 last season. On a Saturday if we are going well we could have taken a good couple of thousand.

They gave us 3,100 last time, so has it been reduced for all clubs, or just Wigan?

We were given 2.2k ish and told "that's your lot" too so expect it to be the same for everyone. Not an issue for us now it's a Tuesday night at the end of November like.

Remember us taking a 3k sellout at keepmoat on our first visit when we were bottom of the league and heading down i would expect Donny to sell out their first visit to NYS regardless as well.
If you sell the away end out it’s 4,200

We didn't get that allocation in 2007
Thinking on that the stadium was fairly new so we were selling out most of the home end back then. Unless your Club doesn't ask for the full amount this time around then you will get the full quota

Won't sell nowhere near 4200 being on sky i should think 3k will be enough.

Yeah we got the same allocation last time too. 2,100 behind the goal. 1,000 in the temp stand at the side. Not opening the temp stand anymore though. 100-200 spaces in corporate apparently and not too expensive so imagine like last time that will be full of away fans as the home fans are boycotting that too for obvious reasons.

Say there was a promotion party scheduled at the Keepmoat in May, is 4,200 the maximum you would give away fans or is it possible to allocate more and move home fans? Asking for a friend...:animatedf:

That's all we got last year and they sold out 2 weeks before the game but we were refused any more so you've got no chance.

I read it as total tickets we've been given is 1,500, and they've sent them up in batches, the first batch sold out at the start of the week (probably 500 or something). I'm not really sure why they're being so strict with the ticketing, I get it's not a ground we've played at much but would imagine everyone who wants to go will be able to.

On Blackpool, about 10 years ago when we played there, City sold out the away stand but people showed up anyway trying to get in so the turnstile operators just took money off them. Of course then everyone who had tickets showed up and couldn't get in because the stand was full. It was when the ground was three sides so loads of people were climbing billboards and phone poles to see the game.

Then again a couple of years ago instead of putting all the away fans in the side stand they had them split half and half between the home end (with home fans in it) and the side stand which was half empty. Must have cost a fortune in extra stewarding. Bizarre and perhaps indicative of the running of the club.

No figure from Scunny, over 600 sold in advance. Piss poor but unsurprising, completely unattractive away day. I didn't go for that exact reason. Doesn't get much better either, Gillingham on Tuesday night next.
