3829 Rotherham at Donny.

Good numbers, but shocking in terms of volume.

I thought it was poor all round noise levels but that was all down to a drab football game. I thought we were well louder at Rochdale compared today but in terms of numbers was very good all round.

Great following, especially been bottom of the league far more than we'd have taken if the boot was on the over foot.

Doubt you'd take that many if you were top and that's not a dig by the way. Plymouths away support is quality as is pompeys

I agree mate, unless it was to win the league or seal promotion. Always impressed by them two away supports.

Pompeys away following yesterday was immense. Only Leeds/villa could match it in the whole football league considering they are doing pretty shit as well. Doubt villa would match it either in the same circumstances.

Also, that Rotherham following is great and is probably going to be the highest following in the league for most of the season until teams challenging for promotion visit Ewood/Stadium:MK.

Some of your figures are incorrect

Blackburn at Oldham was officially 3,350
Wigan at Blackpool was officially 2,011

3,350 per Oldhams surely have to take the home clubs number.
I've been taking the highest of the 2 whenever there has been a discrepancy, as that would include pay on the day etc.

PotD isn't relevant here but it's a blanket rule for all numbers. I've tried contacting clubs about numbers but I've not had much luck.

https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2017/october/report-oldham-1-rovers-0/ 3500 Rovers fans according to our match report.

I'll amend the figure for Wigan @ Blackpool.

Wigan sold out the full 2100 for Blackpool but Blackpool gave out the official figure just under 2200, 2178 I think? Players families taking up the extra tickets? Although Blackpool could just be pulling figures out of a hat because they had just over 2000 Blackpool/Wigan fans in the home end and corporate were all Wigan and nearly 4000 were announced officially!

Edit: 2190 Wigan at Blackpool

Decent following from Rotherham.

I’d like to think we’ll take more than that to Ewood Park. We haven’t played there for a lot of years, and it could be a crucial game by the time we play you at the end of March.

With most of the long trips already chalked off, that average should start to increase in 2018, starting with Wigan this weekend - over 2,000 sold so far.

We have Blackburn(?), Blackpool (3000), Doncaster(2500), Fleetwood(1200), Oldham(2900), Rotherham(1100-SKY), Rochdale(3200), Scunthorpe(1500-SKY) and Wigan(2800) to come.

*the bracket figures are what we ‘roughly’ took the last time we played there. Obviously, there is never any guarantee that you can replicate a previous following, but it is an indicator.

Ours will go the opposite way, barring any huge followings in April/May if we're top 2 our average will always be decreasing after Tuesday night (already sold 2500+ for Saturday). Only one local game left and it's Fleetwood so they'll only give us 1000.

Ours will dip now. Think Blackpool is a bit close to Christmas to garner the support we sometimes take there. We've used up Donny and Bradford and barrring Scunny due to being localish, haven't got any games where we'll take a few. Perhaps Bury on Boxing Day if we're in the mix. I'd say we'll end on about 850 which is about 10% of our home crowd which seems to be the acid test for those that crow over these things.

Given we're among the biggest sufferers on the road, that is about right.

The Lancy/North West/Bradford should mulller everyone else just because there's so many of you in close proximity this season.

Would like to commend Bradford's support at Pompey recently and Pompey's at Blackpool at the weekend. In my eyes, both trump our 4,000 at Donny, though that was definitely a super following from us given the early kick off and it being on Sky.

We've sold over 3,300 for Bury now, our fans' notoriety for buying away tickets late continues. Be another not-quite-a-sell-out-but-near-enough.
