Good following from Oxford yesterday.

I'll be disappointed if we don't sell out at Bradford given it's 45 minutes away and our opening day result.

Hope so. Seems a while since someone sold out the VP away end. Blackburn tried last season, but only fetched 1700. You can have up to 2750.

Club announced before yesterday's game that we'd sold the allocation of 1167 in the side stand and were selling tickets in the double decker one so I'd hope we'd shift the remaining 1600 by next weekend. I'll be missing it by a gnats cock as I fly back into Leeds/Bradford airport at 4pm the day of the game :ffs:

Looks like Barnsley are heading for a sellout at Valley Parade this Saturday (have they ever done this before?).So should be a cracking atmosphere,I’m really looking forward to it.

Can’t ever remember them selling out, fair play to them. Tin baths all over Midland Road. Probably only other team other than Sheff Utd and maybe Wolves who’ve sold it out in 10 years in league games.

I've no idea about visits prior to 14/15 but we didn't then or in 15/16.

Gutted I'll be missing it, should be a great atmosphere.

No one sold out last season, not even Blackburn

Only twice sold out a 2,750 allocation in ten years? Jesus. I thought we were trying to move towards the big leagues :):)

Bit disappointed with the likes of Preston and Blackburn but other than that it’s mostly been either small teams or southern teams so it’s understandable. I think Bolton brought 2k plus but I can’t remember them selling out.

Weird that. In the same 10 years Bury have regularly been in the same division as Bradford and we’ve had numerous followings over 2,500, from the likes of Sheff U, Sheff Wed, Bolton, Blackburn, Preston etc.

Perhaps no-one fancies Valley Parade.

Sheff Utd would fill most northern away ends if doing well, we’ve not played Sheff Weds in over 10 years and the other three are all closer to Bury to be fair. Our bread and butter away followings are Yorkshire clubs and we’ve been limited to the likes of Donny and Rotherham who don’t travel in numbers.

Hoping for another sellout in Sunderland this season as well, brought 4000 when we played them in the cup a few years back.

Maybe not Doncaster but you’d have thought Rotherham would have sold it out at some point, they usually bring a good 1,200+ to Gigg Lane. Didn’t they fill it once in 2012 or 2014? One of their promotion seasons.

Huddersfield another that brought around 3,000 to Gigg. Bradford and Hudds must have missed each other in the leagues.

Rotherham brought a few when we both went up from L2 but they didn’t sell out. Last time we played Hudds was about 2007 I think, we gave them about 5000 tickets (behind the goal and the side) and they only brought about 3k IIRC.

Still a fair following. Wolves would have sold out VP too I guess but Bradford missed the boat on a lot of big followings when they were in league 2.

3k for your second biggest derby is shite! I’d be disappointed if we took that to Oldham or somewhere. We did play Wolves to be fair, mentioned above that they did sell out I think. Big club.

Like most clubs Sheff Utd will take plenty of doing well but they have brought less than 1k to us in League 1. We are no different if we have a good season and challenging for promotion our away support will increase no different from any team really

Doncaster have taken 2,000 to us before and 400.

Sheffield united brought 3,750 to Gigg in 2011 and then 800 in 2012.

Port Vale another club I’m surprised haven’t had a go at selling out VP, decent following a few years back.
