Cracking effort

Think I read 1,278 Pompey at Sunderland, which is also a cracking effort all things considered.
1,288

Superb numbers as you say but makes a bit of a mockery of those whinging about only getting 2k allocation

Unbelievably it was their lowest home gate of the season. For a play off game. Weird bunch.

Chatting to a couple of Sunderland fans on Saturday there seemed to be much disillusion about how they ended the season. I expected a larger turnout from our lot tbh certainly in light of the ticket allocation issue. However leaving aside the obvious - second trip in a fortnight, Live on telly etc; the prices of hotels and BnB's in and around Sunderland / Newcastle and BnB's were scandalous, anything from about £150 up to £800 for the Saturday Night! Apparently there had been an egg chasing final on Saturday in Newcastle though I imagine this cost would have been easily absorbed by the Dubs and Londoners present. All that said Fratton is sold out for Thursday. Sunderland have received 2,000 tickets also and I would imagine they will have pretty well all gone.

No idea how many Doncaster have sold for Friday night but it can’t be many.

We gave them 3,100 which is the majority of the Jimmy seed, we’ve just announced that 1,000 are now being made available for home supporters.

Typical fickle fans mate.

Not too arsed though on this occasion, the feeling is that the future of the club hinges on these play-offs so fully agree that Bowyer and the players need 100% support. Shows any prospective owner the potential of the club and what it could be.

Roland certainly isn’t forgiven and nor will he ever be.

We've sold around 1400.

Which is twice our average away from home. Friday night. Most fans have written off our chances. No cheap trains, and only one that will get you back on the night. Decent effort I think

Bit rich Charlton questioning away support of a team on a Fri night when a heavy underdog.

How was your away support over the season? Pretty shit to me for a big club.

Thanks for your input.

Where did I question it? I was making a statement. Think you’ll find I even liked the footyman’s post in which he says they’re bringing twice their away average, as in I agree it’s a good effort.

For having the temerity to question the valuation of players from League One.

Something you’ll learn next season, you can’t question anything a Luton fan on here says about their club or players.

Yeah I've noticed that, I've had a bit of practice mind, we had Bristol City fans come up didn't we.

The first rule to remember next season, never question a Luton performance, away following or how good one of their players are. And definitely don't question the area of Luton, even though it makes Bradford look like Monte Carlo.

In fairness there are a few sounds ones, suppose when they have so big numbers on this forum, a few nobs will always slip through the net.

1375 Donny.
5 of the coaches didn't get there til the 2nd half and had to be let in through exit gates.

So, hang on, are you claiming that because they were let in through ‘exit gates’, they caused a negative attendance?

My mind is blown in excuses land

Along with their theory of the Met Police and EFL conspiring to get a London club to Wembley. Seen some of their lot saying we have some odd fans aswell ffs.
