Enjoy the pub league?
Just yanking your chain! And in answer to your question - yes, I’m enjoying the resurgence of my club.

Under Power there was only one way we were going. The league below the pub league - a place you know oh so well, spending so many seasons in it.

But it's Swindon Dan, so I'm waiting for it to all go wrong, which we both know is more than likely to happen!

Genuine question. Is Robinson done for if he doesn’t deliver again?

Good question.

With the previously minority shareholders now stepping in and becoming majority shareholders (3 of them are billionaires) they won't want to paddle around in League One for ever. I think they have a good relationship with Karl, and there is a longer term plan of being a sustainable "Top 30" club, in a new stadium, which we're on track for. But I think if they aren't convinced that we're making progress, year on year, then they'll make changes.

When that's likely to be, I've no idea, but I'd hazard a guess that he can't afford to go backwards this season.

Nothing special really.
Wigan is only about 6 miles from Bolton so you'd expect a club with their fanbase to have a few thousand just down the road for a big derby.
If they'd taken 6,000 plus I'd have been more impressed.
Wigan town centre to Bolton Town Centre is actually 16 miles by car
We sold the 4k allocation in 2 days the extra 700 tickets in under 10mins
If we had been given 6k we would have sold 6k

No need to be impressed some teams have a large fan base others less so......means nothing but get the facts sort of correct

Town hall to town hall is 11 miles max ( 16 if youre killing time) and the two grounds are 7and a half miles apart so I was slightly out but so undoubtedly were you.
Anyway I understand you only got a limited allocation and sold them all easily and no doubt would have shifted many more so point taken.

Would you say Bolton have a large fan base?

I’m good friends with Wimbledon’s Chairman so I asked him why he only allocated Oxford 1000 tickets and his response was ‘just to piss off that eric read guy from 1FF who’s obsessed with away support figures’.

He also said that whenever they are next in the same division as Bradford City he will do the same to them to get a similar meltdown from F-I-R-T-H-Y.

Would you say Bolton have a large fan base?
Not really because we are surrounded by Some of the best teams not only in the uk but the world
I think we will average about 12k this season regardless where we finish and we will sell our away allocation at most lge1 grounds

I would expect your average to be 15,000 plus this season, which is ofcourse impressive for Div 3.

Are you as stupid as you sound, or just being a twat?

It's all explained above, we sold the tickets we were given. They gave us 1,000 tickets in a stand that holds 1,400, hence the 400 empty seats. If you really can't understand that, then I'm surprised you've managed to type a reply without the help of an adult.

Now fuck off, it's time you extracted your tongue from the Swindon fans' arses.
What a gobby cnut you.

Great result for a proper football team.

Not many people outside of Oxford give a fcuk how many fans you had at Wimbledon. 1000 or 1400. You still support a tin pot club. Nothing wrong with that though. Just stop gobbing of about your low to average away support from a village in the midlands.

For someone who allegedly doesn't give a fuck, you seem very to have a lot to say on the subject. In fact all you seem to post is derogatory stuff about Oxford in general, and my posts in particular. Village in the midlands? Good one, it's a world famous city known throughout the planet you imbecile.

And as for calling me a gobby c***, you want to look in the mirror "mush"

I’m loving this thread. It’s got some fire in belly. About time. As the league one forum has been quiet for some time.
We need Bradford and port vale to get promoted for even more dick waving and attendance stats.

That's a very low expectation of average crowd Masi, particularly with over 10.000 season tickets sold, you must be thinking there will be very few matchday tickets sold, away followings, especially from Sheff Wed and Sunderland will bring the average well past 12000. There were over 13000 last night for a night game on TV with 199 away fans, Be disappointing if we don't average 15000

We carry on playing like that there will be a couple of thousand added, but some of the away support is dire in this league Sunderland and Shef Wed apart who will bring4/5 k
Next biggest away attendance will be Pompey and Wigan 500 and 300 respectably...

Firthy is completely obsessed about attendances to embarrassing levels, I think he’d happily give up on promotion if it would guarantee Bradford topping all the attendance figures.
And if you mention anything like this to him he chucks his dummy on the floor and starts crying, very strange guy.

I think it might be a Yorkshire thing. When we were in the same league as Sheffield Wednesday a load of their fans signed up to our forum to tell us how many tickets they had sold and how many thousands of fans were travelling down. Leeds weren't quite as bad but had a similar habit.

Very impressed with hospitality facilities at the Pirelli .
When we went with a mate who's a Burton fan when played there in 2019, had a table in one of the banqueting suites, spot on. Hoping Lincoln upgrade ours to that standard. Your new build is basic on three sides with just the covered terracing but can easily converted if required.

It’s not a Yorkshire thing how could I crack on about attendances most of the time I get a row to myself

Last time I was at Burton (2008/09, 1-0 loss under Chris Sutton) they had the narrowest turnstiles I've ever been through and I had to crouch down to speak through the refreshments hut and I'm only 6'2"!

Sold out our initial allocation for Shrewsbury of 800. Pay on the day available at the same price, so should be over 1000. Considering we've only scored 1 league goal this season its not too bad, support. Also the fact this is something like our 7th away game in 9 games.

Yes it is strange. I can only think of three reasons:
1) Police concern - especially if they believed the false rumour there would be 3,000 away fans in the home ends.
2) Cock up in our behalf
3) Technical issues in squeezing you in.

I suspect the last. Under Covid we had to put the away team changing rooms under the away fans end. The largest away fans we have had then for two years was the 250 from Swansea for a pre-season. It is quite likely that we had had to make some structural changes in the concourse to get you in. I understand the annoyance, especially how to get here, but if this is the case rather understandable.

We are playing Wimbledon next week and we still do not have any tickets. Presumably this relates to the safety issues highlighted in previous games (why would you throw a flare on the pitch?!?). Unfortunately the consequence is that the cost of rail fares will be greater.
