Sure, and what a transformation at Sincil Bank.
Like you say you were just plodding along doing absolutely nothing of note and then it all just took off.
Just shows how a club can be transformed.
Absolutely. I fully expected the extra support to drop off by now, even by 1,000 or so, but we have an average of 8,000 home fans (with 1000 away fans) at Sincil Bank so far this season.

There are number of factors but the amazing season of 2016/17 was definitely the catalyst.
The amazing thing is first home game that season the crowd was 3682, we didn't get a crowd over 5000 until early December in the cup against Oldham, then the next game against Tranmere we got similar and we've stayed up at 8000 to 9000 mark since returning to the league.
We have 6300 season ticket holders and then people like me in the membership schemes.
Be interesting to see how many if we continue to struggle at home, before covid our crowds were starting drop a little especially a midweek games, an mk Dons game was way below normal.

We were still around the 5k mark in our decent L2 seasons anyway, it was only the relegation battles in the NL that we dropped to 3k.

The family areas are the ones that are a little down this season by the looks of it, but with the return of schools, Covid kicking off amongst kids around here etc it's probably not a surprise for the time being.

My daughter is 16 now and upgraded from being a junior imp to both of being in the bronze membership scheme.

Must admit by the time I was 16 I didn't want to be a kids section either.

Yeah the kids area has looked very sparse, especially the Rotherham game, nearly empty.

Where is the kids area located now?

Thanks for the figures all. I've added them in and updated the away figures below

It just means we are now missing 2 (Wimbledon vs Gillingham, Sunderland vs Wimbledon) with 10 approx's (mostly involving Sunderland or Wimbledon again).

103 is the lowest away following this season, I think we might trouble that tonight for 500+ mile midweek trip to Plymouth, whilst being 2nd bottom.

Given the condition on entry for Ipswich and the fact they continue to rip fans off with the cost of a ticket for a League one match I would be very surprised if we take 3 figures tonight

They have to fund that very large and expensively assembled squad somehow!

180 Chairboys at Shrewsbury tonight. Poor turnout, but third away game in a week, awful weather, and no doubt a few concerns about fuel.

241 Lincoln @ Morecambe. Horrible journey and will probably be our lowest figure of the season. I was tempted to go, but saw the forecast and decided against it.

102 Crewe at Plymouth. Respect to the ones who travelled, not only for the distance on a Tuesday night but also finding enough fuel.

I've seen figures of 270 and 300 for Cheltenham last night - sure it's closer to the lower one.

Nothing official though

Massive credit to the 216 AFC Wimbledon fans who gave their team great support on a fairly cold, very wet night at NYS.

We've been given an "initial allocation" of 1,014 for Wimbledon away. Looks like the Met are being jobsworths again

That's all you'll get mate. They only gave us the same, for "safety reasons" despite the end holding 1,400.
