4100 we've got and sold
There’s probably only yourselves and Sunderland that would normally get that amount to start with others would have to ask for the extra 700. Bolton and Ipswich might this season given their current form and optimism although being a midweek game might prevent Ipswich, even Rotherham didn’t get 4100 and they are top of the League and 10 miles away.

Would we have qualified for 4100 on a Saturday?
Just wondered if it was a SYP issue midweek?

Only 1 missing is Cambridge @ Fleetwood. Anyone able to help?

I think there were 110 of us at Windy Fleetwood.

At least two of us also stopped over to enjoy some Lancs culture, food and Wigan beer before being warmly welcomed by some friendly fans and stewards at Bolton.

Hope we're less generous to our hosts on our next visit to the county on Good Friday.

Made the right decision getting food and beer in Wigan, the real ale and food scene is great with mostly stand alone places to eat. Far too many towns that have been taken over by chain restaurants.

First time I've heard Bolton stewards referred to as friendly. Most games they just start scrapping with away fans for no reasons.

Looks like we will sell the second allocation upto 1900 at Rotherham on Friday, is that the maximum allocation?

No just the Wigan fans, who charge across the netting throw smoke bombs and rip down advertising boards, then throw them down on their own supporters

It can be up to 2600ish but that depends on home demand.
It has been known to give two or three sections of the East to South stand corner to home fans.

However if you can take all the 2600 allocation the club will probably let you.

Of course if you didn't sell them all Wigan would have to compensate us by standing the cost of the empty seats.

I expect the clubs will discuss it and decide, it's easier for segregation if Wigan take the lot so SYP might have a say on what happens.

I generally find that a smile and a "How's your week going," gets a warmer response than a scowl and an expletive. So I'll take your "No Reasons" with a pinch of salt.

I heard that the reason we had to make special effort to find a programme (another steward accompanied us to a seller in the home end and back) was because they'd lost and couldn't recruit sellers because of the abuse they'd had from away fans (no club named).

Who is coked up or sad enough to have to abuse a lad or old bloke who's just trying to earn an extra few bob by turning out to sell programmes once or twice a week?

No when I say no reason I mean no reason. I've seen elderly people get thumped just minding their own business. A lad with a broken leg on crutches got thrown to the ground one season when all he was doing was standing up to go down to the concourse. The ones that can't defend themselves tend to get picked out for special rough treatment. Any big guy they leave alone. The stewards are just scum quite frankly.

The stewards at Bolton are mostly bouncers, who seem to get very bored so when a big following comes in, they want a bit of action. Been complaints from dozens of clubs about it.

Never have seen any issue with stewards at other stadiums been to around 50, but they tend to be just normal men and women looking to earn a few quid then go home.

BWFC rushed a membership scheme in after the Wigan game, You have to be a member now to get in the ground. It's a ball ache getting tickets . Trying to buy 5 for some mates for the home match with Wimbledon. They have not been a match all season but with recent results they fancied a match. So they have all joined the membership scheme this week, but still can.t buy the tickets because you have to wait for them to complete background checks before i can assign them their tickets, Football was great when you could just turn up on the day, ticket office phone number just constantly engaged, i didn't realise it was so difficult to buy a ticket !

How do we keep losing to these little clubs? Fair enough Sunderland and Wednesday but Oxford ffs. I reckon the ref was born in Oxford. The sending off never in a million years

Because your team are a bit rubbish?

It was soft but then Hirst should have been sent off 5 minutes later so it balanced out.

The village idiot is back. Posting at 12:21am after being on the cider again by the looks of it. You're such an insecure and angry little man, looking for attention.

You lost because you're not very good, and that's being kind. We totally dominated every aspect of the game, possession, passing, passing quality, shots on target, shots off target, corners etc and that was happening whether you had ten or eleven men. I thought the red card was probably a yellow, but it was definitely evened out when Hirst wasn't red carded for elbowing Elliott Moore.

Very disappointed in Portsmouth and their tactics. You were more Wycombe than Wycombe, long ball, time wasting, dark arts etc, but with very little ability to go with it. Has Ronan Curtis stopped crying yet?

Just reading the last few pages of this and had to laugh at the Pompey fan calling out Ipswich fans for willy waving, then a few posts later he posts a clip of Pompey taking 6000+ to MK Dons.

Well we've only sold 2400 out of 3100 for Hillsborough on Sunday when we sold out (3255) at Doncaster for a midweek game.

The club are asking fans to buy the rest by this Wedneday morning otherwise they won't bother with a further allocation.

It doesn't surprise me, the away end is archaic and falling to bits compared with Donny's ground.
It's usually a nightmare getting back to the coaches, Its on a Sunday lunchtime and on Sky.

TBH I'm beggining to wish I'd not bothered with a ticket.

Every fucking season you trot excuses out for bringing a wank following on your big day out.

Reasons are not excuses but whatever, but there's no denying that away end should have been demolished years ago.

1300 from us in a crowd of 8723 is very good , pity we keep finding new ones to lose and make a mess of it after taking the lead.

Didn’t we have to win the bid to stage a World Cup to pay for it?
The club would have done if we'd won the 2018 WC bid, subsidised by government grants to fund the education centre Lee Strafford envisaged.
