Not at all. I have been to the majority of the top Premier away grounds and i wont deny it is louder, bigger and a hell more commercialised.
The Championship you play to half filled stadiums including our own when we was there. Most teams here have that moody underbelly and its not a great experience.
Div 1 A couple of stadiums too big again for this league both Bolton and MK Dons amongst them but some cracking away days
Div 2 much like div 1 but covid put paid from trying that league out

Now I must be a bit weird because of all the leagues we have been in (all being the bottom 3 and only one season in the championship) I like this league best. Of course I want promotion, of course I'd love to see us in the prem, but I find this league the most enjoyable. Some good clubs and some poor clubs but I don't mind that. Wonderfully diverse grounds. Also I find it freindly. My local is a dedicated away pub but I always go there before a match and it's never hostile.

Yes, I must be weird :gr:
I wonder if they'd let us swap places?

Wycombe had a good following considering how many they get at home.

It's so depressing another season in this league
Should have had more. Pompey only gave us the 958 or thereabouts, then declared the game a total sellout. Empty spaces all around the ground. We had fans asking for tickets when there were no more available.

Our away support has fallen off a cliff, was bound to happen I suppose after the rubbish we’ve been serving up away from home. The tickets sold for the next two Saturday aways are dreadful.

However, I suspect we’ll sell out Cambridge on Easter Monday, we’ve been given jusy shy of 1500. I thought you got about 2000 there?

I'm not sure if they're selling the side terrace anymore. We sold out over a week before the game I believe and only had an attendance of 1448 behind the goal.

South Habbin terrace is for U's fans these days, even if we don't sell out.

Board is giving priority to the fans over the extra income possible from visitors and it's paying off with gates improving despite some disappointing results.

About ten minutes after buying the Cambridge ticket, we get told the club have been notified of a potential date change because of TV selections over that weekend.

Absolute farce.

Really can’t stand football these days.

I'm just hoping our trip to MK isn't fucked over.

Great news for us though, Televised Saturday teatime kickoff against Cambridge. Clashes directly with City Liverpool though, so I can see the crowd taking a hit.

Ipswich has been moved from Easter Monday to Tuesday night, but that won't be a loss. Done Portman Road once in 2014 when we were flying under Rosler, shocking away day, not to be done again.

Ours against MK has also been moved to Tuesday night which will affect the crowd no doubt and the young 'uns that have started coming along. I suppose a tiny benefit is that we get an extra day recovery compared to MK.

Every cloud.....

I'm not sure many will be envying me but it opens up the opportunity to put together a hell of a weekend of NW L1/L2/RFL action to complement a decent trip to Wigan and Tuesday under the lights at the Abbey for the other Athletic.

I'm sure Saints v Wigan tickets (Friday) will be like gold dust but Raiders are at Featherstone on Friday evening and Whitehaven v Workington on the Sunday has even crept onto the radar. More likely, FGR at Holker Street is a possibility and Barrow are at Salford on the Monday.

If you're looking for NW football to watch on the Friday, I'd sack off the EFL and move lower down. The likes of Southport v Fylde, Chester v Kiddy, Alty v Halifax are all on Good Friday and would appeal far more to me than Barrow v FGR unless you're a supporter or live around the Cumbria area.

Slightly annoying but not drastically bad, I’m up for the wk end as have family up this way, just means we have to cancel the plans for Saturday.

This is how it works. Clubs like Wycombe that aren't likely to bring many get given the lower amount. If you don't sell them very quickly them that's all you get. Clubs like Charlton and Sunderland ,Wednesday get given the max as they will sell them. You don't normally bring many down here do you.

Our ground is in danger of falling to bits hence you notice empty seats as H & Safety rules that we have to have a reduced capacity until essential safety work is carried out. Essential work is now taking place and hopefully our capacity will be increased for next season.

So Saturdays game was a sell out even though there was empty seats. Hope I've explained it OK for you.

Holker Street has particular attractions and memories :animatedf:

However, if I was to forgo that particular choice (FGR will win comfortably).

I'd consider Altrincham v Halifax (full of ex-Us) or Wrexham v Solihull (Mullin v Dallas) as top choices. Both would be new grounds and epitomise current non-league values in their different ways.

I think Salford v Barrow has to be done - they've won my only two other away games this season.

Looks like that's our 5,147 sold for the Bolton game on 9th April.

Is that the full allocation or is there a chance of more?

Allocated an initial 4k at MK now, no trains back so would be good going to sell that out, ruined a potential belter away day for many of us lot mind.

Fxxk off Sky.

Allocation restriction aside/Covid I think it has been 7 years since we last took under 1k to game.
