the last time we played was something like 1997

About 3500. I'm looking forward to Wigan away myself as I've never been, and the last time we went there i think we took 4000+ as it was a top of the table clash.

2002/2003 wasn't it? the season you won the league and we made the play offs.

Our away end holds about 3500 I think, so that would be a good effort.

Yeah I'd have thought there'd be more than that.

We've sold 1,300 for Blackpool a week on Saturday. I know it's the seaside and that but odd that we'll be taking a lot more there than we did to Rochdale, which is about half the distance.

Not too sure I agree with Sheffield United's support being 'class'

Remember when Sheffield United had a 'shit' season (still finished 7th) they were down to 14-15,000 at home some games and I think just over 1,100 away following?

I'd like to see how there support would look if they class 7th as a 'shit' season and had to put up with these finishes:

I'd argue Coventry getting 13,000 at home and still maintaining a good away following is better then whatever Sheffield United are getting home and away when you compare recent finishes and how Sheffield United's support absolutely crashed after 1 season of poor performances (7th) and a rubbish manager - never mind 15 seasons of it!

For the record i have never once said ours is class at all. And i don't think yours is shit either i just don't think 1000 to scunthorpe is very good considering your start when like you have just stated you have had nothing to cheer about for a while.

Not sure the SU bashing is necessary. They have a consistently good away following. Big club with good fans. Also think fans are getting a bit bored of our complaints about years of misery. I feel your pain, but nobody else gives a shit.

You lost 500 of your away following because you lost a few more games than usual? Seems to be a massive decrease and it wasn't even a bad season really. Can't begin to imagine it if you actually had a 'shit' season and nearly got relegated like we have for 15 years!

We were in the relegation zone in february it was a terrible season. We had a decent run at the end was no where near the playoffs points wise and our fans were more bothered about our fa cup run as league games after we had secured safety were irrellavent.

Scunny tends to pong a bit as well, if the weather's warm & there's an easterly breeze. I imagine that's put a good few hundred off, too.
