1300 in pissing rain and gills isn't really a Derby col u is and we could of taken 4000 Boxing Day if the tickets were there

Haha, you don't usually though, do you?

Some figures from a post on our board;
2005/06 - we took 1,066 on a Bank Holiday Monday, lunchtime kick off. You brought 1,263 for a Saturday 3pm.
2006/07 - we took 1,343 for a Good Friday, lunchtime kick off. You brought 964 for a Saturday 3pm.
2008/09 - we took 1,249 for a lunchtime kick off. You brought 1,900 for a Saturday 3pm.
2009/10 - we took 1,532 for a Boxing Day, lunchtime kick off. You brought 1,080 for a Monday night, live on TV.

For a club who do get much better attendances than us, our away followings to you aren't really any worse. Now you're at basically your highest point for a decade and we're at our lowest point for nearly 20 years - enjoy it, it's cyclical.

Millwall fans made lots of noise, but that noise was just them shouting Millwall in different melodies. I expected better tbh.

I went in the away end with a mate, as Boston didn't have a game & our planned game (Atherstone v Nuneaton Griff) was rained off. They were quite noisy and the away end kept that noise well but the range of songs wasn't anything to ride home about and I still have MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLL ringing in my ears. Still, a tenner on a Millwall win at 12/5 paid for the entry so not all bad.

Of course, no official figure from Burton, however, it looked decent considering how shite we are.

1,000 ish my guess.
Why no official figure?

Very well put, and good research

Can you remind me what the away capacity at Layer Road was? I was at both of those games (05/06 and 06/07) and tickets were very difficult to get hold of.

I'm not knocking you're away attendance yesterday by the way, considering your league position I think 1312 is a very decent number.

Poor following from us.

Suppose I can't blame people for not wanting to watch that.

I had visions of the ricoh being full with 6000 blades there for the last match at your place with both teams chasing the title how fucking wrong was i. Its looking likely you may end up joining us in mid table

If I was the cheeky sort, I would give them a little wave when we rush past them in the next week or so.

Decent numbers from Bury today. Think they might have brought more than Wigan from memory, despite being on a pretty horrific run of form.

In all honesty, I can't remember. I'm going to say about 1,250ish off the top of my head - I reckon about 1,000 behind the goal and then 250 in the seats. So I guess you've sold out in 05/06 (as you should, when we were both going for automatic promotion at the time!) and then in 08/09 for your first visit to the new ground.

Not sure why we always seem to have lunchtime kick-offs at Roots Hall, but standard times at our place mind you. Yesterday was odd, and after the incidents I imagine it would be a lunchtime again next time, although who knows when next time might even be! Haha.

Looked a lot more than 1600 Coventry fans to me

I'd have thought around 1800-2000 but probably a few gaps here and there, be the best numbers we will have at VP this season unless Walsall can go up final day.

It's a shame it wasn't more. A few weeks ago I'd have said we would have took twice what we did today.

I do love Vale Park, a proper ground with a hardcore support.

I've always wished we could go to an away end similar as ours, with a decent following.
