We will take an awful lot less than expected to Vale next week. It was almost guaranteed to sell out, but after the absolute shambolic few weeks we have had the bandwagon has crashed.

You didn't sell out the first season when you were all travelling away but not at home? Surely 2-2500 be there though?

334 is pretty decent for us, in the position we are in. infact it's 50 odd more than Vale took there a couple of weeks ago.

Probably not, only sold 900 odd. I would guess 1700 maybe.

We dropped from 17,000 to 11,000 yesterday.

Cup I know, but 1,636 Saddlers at Reading yesterday. Another pretty good following for us and a club of our size I thought. Must be our 5th or 6th 1k+ following already this season, which is pleasing by our standards.

Port Vale - great following at Wigan, good number, good support etc. Played up a bit to which always gives good entertainment.

Some good banter between the two sets with the chants which made me chuckle. "S**t Stoke City" responded to with a "S**t Bolton Wanderers" etc. Enjoyed the day and the welcome Wigan provided... sadly our teams performances was just as giving as Wigans welcome!

Good effort easy away win. Although it certainly wont be as good a trip for you as the last time you came.
To be honest i thought you looked a really decent side second half against us at home....tough game this could go either way,i like a central midfielder of yours not sure who he was black hair

Think it could of been baxter he played at youre place. Our last 3 displays have been so inept of any attacking play its beyond a joke. Its so dire to watch and you seem to be on a good run so can only see 1 result tbh.

Pleasant surprise with the initial allocation selling out. 2 hour away trip but one of the more glamorous clubs balances it out I guess. The last trip there was mental with PL safety the award.

Any logic to Crewe taking 100 odd to Bradford and Bury yet 334 to Millwall ? Can only presume new ground syndrome. Vale were taking 600-700 to Millwall on the saturday, loads didn,t go based on the moving of the game, myself including having already paid for advance train tickets on the Saturday.

I thought it was unusual. London so easy to get to from Crewe though so probably an easier trip than Bradford.

Certainly not new ground syndrome, I think I've been 5 or 6 times myself. We quite often take 300 + as other day it's an easy journey to London by train, infact alot easier than say Bradford. Plus everyone loves a good old London away day. It's a shame we only have 1 this season.

I think I've seen before that Crewe have a few exiles down in London, so their Southern games aren't too badly attended. Was surprised you took over 100 to Colchester for a midweek game a few months ago, given your form this season.

Can see why more would go to London than Bradford, or Barnsley for that matter. It's nearly 2 hours on the train to here (change at Stockport then Sheffield), slightly less to London. Safe to say I'd much rather spend the day in London than Barnsley if I were an away fan.
