We've sold over 3,300 for Bury now, our fans' notoriety for buying away tickets late continues. Be another not-quite-a-sell-out-but-near-enough.
You will outnumber us by at least a thousand I expect. Embarrassing and humiliating but that's the way it is at the moment. I'd be amazed if we got over 2,500 home fans.. which given the fixture is a tragedy.

Our average is fairly decent considering what we have been subjected to for at least half the season so far.

We still have to go to Shrewbury, Bury, Rochdale, Wigan and Blackburn too.

Not embarrassing at all, it is what it is. Our home support is a pale shadow to what it was. All clubs attendances reflect their current circumstances, I suspect you'll have more than 2.5k, more like 3.5k.
Will be my first visit to Gigg lane, quite looking forwards to it.

Your attendances have dropped to the pre Jack Walker level that's all.

Yes that's correct.
18/19k net home fans in the Prem year's, around 10k net home fans now. Room to drop a bit more yet.

Good away day Bury, one of my favourites in League One.

Piss up in Manchester and a good away end

To be expected when promotion is the aim, and you get to visit lots of local awaydays for the 1st time.

Yep all very valid points.
New grounds, quite a few very local, Genune promotion ambitions. All these have an effect.
Stay in this league and these followings will fall year on year.
I only did Preston away in the last 2 years, after Bury on Saturday I will have done 5 this season.

Can't stand the argument of it only being up the road. We had the same at Donny last weekend. What should Blackburn do? A few laps around Darwen first to get that mileage up.

Tends to be from clubs playing the victim of this game like Portsmouth and Plymouth desperate for commendation, but the likes of Wednesday should know better.

Good following from Blackburn when there's a few clubs in the division that can't pull those numbers at home. Blackburn have hardly pulled up trees so far.

Honestly you're bitterness is creepy, nobody said anything about it being a poor following for Blackburn just a throwaway comment about it being local. Get over yourself shamoo

Ours will dip now. Think Blackpool is a bit close to Christmas to garner the support we sometimes take there. We've used up Donny and Bradford and barrring Scunny due to being localish, haven't got any games where we'll take a few. Perhaps Bury on Boxing Day if we're in the mix. I'd say we'll end on about 850 which is about 10% of our home crowd which seems to be the acid test for those that crow over these things.

Given we're among the biggest sufferers on the road, that is about right.

The Lancy/North West/Bradford should mulller everyone else just because there's so many of you in close proximity this season.

Would like to commend Bradford's support at Pompey recently and Pompey's at Blackpool at the weekend. In my eyes, both trump our 4,000 at Donny, though that was definitely a super following from us given the early kick off and it being on Sky.

If our form improves especially away and we challenging near the top then we would easily average 1k end of the season but i don't think we will be tbh. I think our highest away followings from now on will be something like a sell out at Scunthorpe, 1.5k at Blackpool, Bury and Oldham.

Should be around 1,450 Shrimpers at Portsmouth tomorrow. Shame it's not a pay on the day match, could have bought a few more.

Quite correctly, there has been praise and hosannas for Pompey and Plymuff's excellent away followings on this thread. Can I add Sarfend to this list of praise - they're so far distant they're in Belgium, yet they always seem to be well-supported at Rochdale. Maybe, as coast-dwellers, they appreciate the chippy :-)

That chippy is expensive as fuck. Then again they'll be used to those prices down there.

837 Oxford at Plymouth. Decent considering we hadn't won in the last 6 and lost the last 4 straight.

Dear me. I don't think our away followings have been as bad since the Richardson days. I remember taking 1500 to Barrow in the Conference on a Tuesday night.
To say ow good our home crowds have been this season, our away followrybgs have been shite.
