Funny how many people are picking Walsall to win, given that Crewe have a lot more at stake, and Walsall are pretty much safe, I'd say this one looks a home banker.

I can see at least one shock at MK Dons and Bristol though.
We did just win 5-0 with our entire squad fit, and haven't conceded a goal in 6 hours I think...

Can't blame them for going Walsall win.

We actually have a pretty decent home record, I think 2 loses in the last 15.

Away to decentish teams in where we have been at our best under Mowbray. Beat Chesterfield, Peterborough and Fleetwood so I don't think a draw at Bristol City who've already gone up is too ridiculous a proposition.

A massive and unexpected point tonight. Looking at it if Col U drop points, Crawley lose, Crewe lose and Orient lose that would do nicely and put us about safe as Crewe would need 4 points from 2 with their GD, Colchester would be miles behind, Orients run in and Crawley would possibly need five from two with our GD. (This if we lost to Yeovil and Fleetwood).

The majority of clubs are boring to the majority of supporters. Apart from the bigger clubs or your more local clubs, most other teams sound boring.

A win today could go a long way in securing our survival, can't wait to bottle it.

Great point. Not one goal conceded in four away games on a trout. Very impressive.

Not too bad results for us! Crewe conceding means they need to win one of their last two to overhaul us if we lose both, if Tuesday goes our way well almost be there!

Really don't see the others below us getting to 52. Not sure I see us getting to 52. Maybe Crewe or Crawley won't. Maybe 51 will still be good enough, don't see them both getting wins in their last two games, but then two draws will do Crawley. Tuesday is so big I think now. Win there, hold Sheffield United and we've still got a very good chance. Lose it and I think we're gone.

This game has really dampened my optimism though, I've thought for a whole we've been 50/50, maybe slightly above that to survive. Think we've got well below a 50/50 chance now.

Looks like it's going to be a very nervy last day job for a few of us around here. I'll take my bike clips with me.

We really are gone now, that's twice in recent weeks we've thrown away a 2-1 lead in injury time. Four huge points.

Today was a real must win game, so to turn it around in the space of four minutes and still balls it up in the 92nd minute is a real killer. There's no chance of us picking up more than maybe four points from the last three games at a push. Game over.

This is what you call whimpering over the line IF we stay up.

Even with just the slightest bit of common sense, ambition and determination from management and players we would have seen out wins against Walsall & Orient, not to mention get more than a point against Oldham & Crawley. All home games within the last month. We'd be safe now. But instead we're relying on others, big time.

40 - Yeovil Town, RELEGATED(44)

Forthcoming fixtures:

16th Coventry(44) - 52 points. Crewe(H), Crawley(A)
17th Scunthorpe(43) - 52 points. Bradford(H), Gillingham(H), Doncaster(A)
18th Port Vale(44) - 51 points. Yeovil(A), Fleetwood(H)
19th Crawley(44) - 50 points. Peterborough(A), Coventry(H)
20th Crewe(44) - 49 points. Coventry(A), Bradford(H)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
21st Leyton Orient(43) - 47 points. Rochdale(A), Sheff U(H), Swindon(A)
22nd Notts County(43) - 47 points. Preston(H), Doncaster(H), Gillingham(A)
23rd Colchester(43) - 45 points. Fleetwood(A), Swindon(H), Preston(H)
24th Yeovil(44) - 39 points. Port Vale(H), MK Dons(A)

Yeovil are clearly benefitting from the lack of pressure as they grab a win against Swindon to put a massive dent in their automatic promotion bid. Colchester drop 2 massive points at home to Scunny, looking like a big ask for them to stay up given their final 2 games now. Not dead and buried by any stretch, but next Saturday away at Fleetwood is a must win game for them. Notts County lost their relegation 6 pointer with Crawley, they are still in touch but now have to try and beat PNE at home on Tuesday. Win that game in hand and things look a lot better for them. But will they, given that they've only won 1 of their last 14 games and none of their last 10? You don't want to write them off, but its looking tough for them now. Orient continue to do their best to go down, losing 6-1 at MK Dons. Only the really crap teams lose 6-1 there, how embarrassing. They now have a massive game on Tuesday at Rochdale, who themselves are at the last chance saloon to keep their season alive.

The Alex scraped out another point, but are now relying massively on Tuesdays games to go their way. Got 2 more winnable games, but given that they don't look like winning games at the moment, will they? I'm not so sure. Crawley gave themselves a great chance of staying up, 1 more win out of their next 2 should do it for them. Vale are almost there, a win next Saturday will probably see them safe. Scunny grabbed a late point at Colchester but will need to win their game in hand on Tuesday to officially secure safety. They probably won't go down, nor will Coventry, although the Sky Blues play 2 teams below them. They and Scunny probably won't go down from here, looking like 2 from 4 now.

Its panning out a lot how I expected, Leyton Orient were always going to be back in the shitter with there last 5 games, tough ask for them to stay up.
Notts County, I said when they appointed Moniz they probably would have been better off getting in a steady head who knows the division with Moniz then taking over in the summer. Was told I was talking rubbish and now they are on the brink, writing was on the wall for them after failing to beat Yeovil. Crewe and Crawley are struggling but scrapping for every point.

We're almost there, if Leyton Orient and Notts County lose there games in hand Tuesday then I will be declaring us safe. If Crewe and Crawley had lost today then I would probably already be claiming safety but just got to wait to see how the games in hand go now.

The big thing for us today was that now if we lose to Crewe next week we still be ahead of them, if we only get a point against them then Crewe can't catch us going into the last game.

You were talking rubbish. A 'steady head' would have been even worse, think I'd have slit my own throat if we had this shite squad AND a manager like Danny Wilson or some c*** like that.

In summary, end this season. Throw 90% of our squad in a big bin and then throw that bin into the sea and let's start next season with some young players who can help play the way Moniz *wants* us to play, which looks good and refreshing to me.

Couldn't have turned out any worse than your current position though, could it? Still time to turn it around but looks ominous to me

Of course it could have turned out worse. We were unbeaten in 5 before today...it could've been much worse. Nothing today was down to him, no player on the pitch could pass a ball 5 yards or successfully control a pass - they're fucking terrible. Stick whichever old useless c*** off the managerial carousel you want in charge. Don't try and fucking tell me what our issue is when I'd just travelled all that way and back to see that - especially when you're trying to convince me an old 'steady head' would be the best option. Paul Hart was an old head...he was also a terrible terrible twatbasket.

The 5 unbeaten was down to Moniz then? Paul Hart drew 3 of them, which is a point more than Moniz has in his 3 games (note I'm not making a case in defence of Hart or any other manager here, merely pointing out that I raised valid points about the appointment of Moniz in the short term which in the early days so far are showing to be true) Moniz has 2 points from 3 games, I'll say it again. It couldn't have been much worse, worse case scenario you'd have been 2 points worse off. In the short term, yes imo you would have been better off appointing someone with knowledge and experience of the division.

But whatever I'll let Notts County and there football purists fans get on with it, with Moniz and his attacking football

It's got absolutely nothing to do with the style we're playing. Stop posting stuff about us, you clearly don't have the slightest clue.
