Harrogate alongside Sutton are officially our bogey team in this division, played them five times never won one.

Us against a press is a double-edged sword. We can play through it; we can get caught out by it. The most difficult passages of play we’ve had this season were the opening 15 against Cobblers, the opening 30 against Walsall and the opening 25 against Barrow where all of them absolutely flew at us and ran an energetic high press. We had to hang on in there and grow into the games. If you’re not above-average at running the press (hello Hartlepool) we will dice you to pieces. If you can’t keep the press up then we’ll take control of the game. Whether or not we do anything much with that control is debatable.
We are pretty relentless and effective at the high press. Just ask Bradford......

Whilst you were good against us, I think we should caveat that by saying you were aided massively by the number of unforced errors we made in the opening period of that game. Even when you didn't press, we passed it straight to you or whacked it out of play. So not meaning to take anything away from your performance, but it was our worst display of the season by quite some distance.

Wimbledon at home which is seen by some of our fans, myself included, as a "grudge match" after their part in our demotion. as they were one of the main whiners about about not being able to afford to play on only for them to move into their multi million pound stadium and paying wages to players other clubs in the division, including us, couldn`t only a few months later. Going to be a tight one but I`m hoping we smash them to be honest.
What a load of nonsense. You could blame another dozen clubs for your relegation. You blame us because we finished just above you!! . That about sums it up.

On Bowie, he’s due to play Thursday I think for Scotland Under 21’s but was asked after Saturdays game and he said he would be available for the game and wanted to play.
That’s good he’s for you as he is your Star Man.

That’s the beauty of league 2, getting duffed up by non league park sides.

Can’t imagine saturday will be a classic!

Not that simple. There were still around a quarter of the games to play when the season was more or less stopped. While it's impossible to say how the table would have looked had the full 46 games been played, Rovers had recruited wisely in the January window and had won the last 3 games, so most of the SWA believe we'd have stayed up had it been allowed to run it's course. Claims about teams being unable to afford playing behind closed doors were not borne out given that much of the 20/21 season was played like that. While although we weren't allowed to play on and determine our future on the football pitch, thanks to that weasel Rick Parry the play-offs to decide our replacement did go ahead behind closed doors. Wimbledon didn't put back the move to the multi-million pound stadium back a few years, so some of the claims about being unable to afford playing behind closed doors don't stand up.

Does this mean we're finally forgiven for beating you 2-1 in that season ender allowing Chesterfield to stay up at your expense :)?

We will fail to score.
Less than 3 goals in the game, like finding money in the street.

Sutton v Rochdale has the air of ‘must not lose’ - whilst there is plenty of the season to go, our current shaky form does have me looking over my shoulder.

We’re struggling to score so trying to avoid conceding is especially important. However we have one fit centre back at the moment and we’re a step away from press ganging people in the street to make up the numbers in the match day squad so I doubt a clean sheet is imminent.

Where the game will be won and lost I think mate. I'm hopeful it'll be a good match. If you can pass through us, the evidence is there that you've got players who will hurt us.

It's going to be a home sell out so if Leyton Orient bring a good following it won't be far off 10k.

If you start getting caught by it, our crowd will be up and it could end up being a difficult afternoon for you.

This must be Stockport's greatest ever away win. They never shut up about it.
We've got you away in a couple of weeks.

How could we put back a move to the stadium !? In fact the stadium is not complete and we are still 10 million in debt due to the stadium.

It sounds that any money you might have lost by playing behind closed doors was minuscule compared to the debt you were
prepared to taken on for the new stadium,

This is the game where they rightfully lift the championship trophy we've expected them to win since the summer

Anyway it's really not the point. Tranmere would've made exactly the same decision as us had you been in the same position so let's not pretend otherwise.

Curle is saying Tom Crawford out until the late part of the season and Sterry sounds like he'll be a while. Will we miss Crawford? I can't quite make my mind up about him as a player. Dunno what you other poolies reckon. Good passer of the ball but not enough legs for me

I like him, still only 23 year old so plenty of time for him to improve all round, not an attack minded midfielder for me, can't shoot for toffee, I seem him more of a Featherstone replacement in the future, one we should be hanging onto.

The point is that the season could easily been concluded behind closed doors and a real final table determined rather than the contrived guess which was PPG.

Looking like a home sell-out at EP tomorrow, depending on how many Orient bring it should be another 10k crowd, love it

Everyone did PPG, it's not some big conspiracy to keep you down

For people who don't like being called scousers you certainly seem to share their mentality

Our fans don't dislike Hartlepool at all tbh, I was playng around.

It's genuinley one sided, with your fans burning Challinor shirts, threatening his wife, celebrating whenever we lost in the NL.

The only thing I have against Hartlepool is the creepy fancy dress thing you do on the last day of the seasons. Lo and Behold you're at our place last day of the season.
