If you don't move swiftly SOC then the obvious choice for no.1 will already be sacked and you'll have to re-jig it all.

How's this going?
Cancelled mate, sorry. Not running features on a site where democracy is ignored and JJ1532 and Mowgli feed back their preferences on issues that concern all of us to have them ratified by a group of admins who don't even post in this section. Don't see why I should bother doing something enriching for the forum when the powers that be are so close minded regarding improvement.

I'm assuming Lord Cowley was going to win? Or at least second to dreamboat Kewell.

Not a riot, or a protest even. I'm too apathetic about this forum. Perhaps it can serve as a reminder about how certain people shouldn't have anything nice, though.

Yep, Cowley was gonna be 2nd behind Kewell.

I was itching to get onto Cowley and Tisdale, had some good stuff lined up for those two.

It's the single vs individual match threads argument that's the cause of your discontent right? Trust me mate, I've got a valid reason why I am so against a single match thread, and I would be totally indifferent to the whole thing if it weren't for this.

It's partly that, however it's more to do with a) the way the admin members have dealt with the situation in a PM exchange I have been having with them regarding this and b) their refusal to delete/close my account despite them doing so for other members in the past.

But yes, it essentially stems from this. I don't hold it against anyone that voted against a single thread, so you don't need to justify yourself to me mate. It should be down to the mods/admin to honour what was a perfectly legitimate vote, not the collective as a whole.

Why do you want them to close your account? Wouldn't just not logging on here have the same effect - no one forces you to come here?

Not that I want you to, you seem like a good poster and a sound guy. It's just...... I don't see what your complaint is there as you can achieve the same result yourself.

With regards single/joint threads, who cares? There's so much more important to life - getting hung up on this seems so unnecessary.

Just my two cents.

Son of Cod, I'm sorry but it wasn't ''a perfectly legitimate vote". The only way it will be legitimate is when only the votes of the L2 fans will be valid, and not those from fans of big Championship clubs and Non League sides  But I guess some people just can't help themselves when they see a poll even though they never post on this part of the forum.

I've tried searching for the thread and poll in question but I've only managed to find the 2016 one so far. I actually voted for the single match thread back then

Pretty sure the thread got deleted when those 2 weeks of threads all had to be wiped.

A local poll for local people, we'll have no trouble here.

That's what the admins said, however it's easier said than done when you've been posting here (and on TFF) as long as I have. I've said to them that I'm spending too much time on here, however this isn't a valid reason evidently. However, it was for other members. As I've said previously too, it's not so much the match thread issue, it's the way it has been handled and they way my complaints have been handled, ie. ignored, dismissed, met with the same stock answers by people who don't even post in this section.

Was the original vote not one that showed who was voting? I genuinely can't remember. Either way, I doubt whether there was a significant input from outsiders? It's obvious there was and still are a substantial number of L2 posters who wanted it to change. I think a weekend or two trial is perfectly reasonable.

You can do what I did when I wanted to get rid of my login to the Barnet forum. Create a new password though random characters and then copy and paste it into the confirm password. Even better for me as the e-mail account that a password reset goes to is no longer active.

That's a good idea actually, cheers. Although, I would like to know why the administrators don't have a consistent policy regarding account closures.

What a load of bollocks lol. This isn't a gambling account, you aren't at risk if they don't delete it. If you don't want to post on here, just don't. If you have a "weak" moment and do post again, why the fuck would that be a problem? It's not going to cost you anything. Grow up,

Never said I was at risk? It's more a question of equality. Why would they close other posters' accounts, but not mine? I wouldn't expect a knuckle dragging neanderthal who threatens other posters via PM to understand the concept of principles, though.
