First up is the Friday game:
Mansfield Town v Colchester United

Saturday gives us the remainder:
  • Crawley Town v Carlisle United
  • Barrow v Forest Green Rovers
  • Cheltenham Town v Walsall
  • Exeter City v Oldham Athletic
  • Leyton Orient v Harrogate Town
  • Newport County v Port Vale
  • Salford City v Bradford City
  • Scunthorpe United v Morecambe
  • Southend United v Cambridge United
  • Stevenage v Bolton Wanderers
  • Tranmere Rovers v Grimsby Town

Crikey I'm excited, will the ScuntS win three in a row, will Grimsby score a goal? Could Bolton win again? So many questions!

Newport away... tricky. It’s the kind of game we do win though, a team bang in form and flying, believe they’ve ditched the thuggery long ball tactics and are quite the footballing side now?

Would take a point to be honest, wouldn’t shock me if we won this then lost at Stevenage though!

Vale are just the sort of team who can go there and win this game I think. They’ve obviously got a very solid team and an excellent manager so won’t be easy but it’s the kind of game we are happier playing.

Not that this will apply to Vale in the slightest as we rarely use the subs bench as it is but from this weekend teams will be allowed up to five subs so will see how that affects things in terms of how managers approach things elsewhere.

Extremely likely we brought back down to earth in extreme fashion after last week's victory

Crawley v Carlisle...hmm

Crawley in good form at home. Carlisle in good form. Could depend on the injuries and suspensions we have.

Watters subbed because of a knock v Harrogate, Tunnicliffe missing due injury, Matthews had concussion and Hesketh was suspended and I'm not sure if he's back or not. Plus Morris, our keeper, was injured v Walsall and although he sat on the bench Saturday I'm not sure he is fit to play.

Despite all that I think we will nick it 2-1

Hopefully the squad will be refreshed after a weekend off and we have a couple from Labadie, Shephard, Howkins, Longe-King, Janneh, Collins and Taylor back from injury. A fingers crossed fully fit Sheehan, King, Cooper and Lewis will return from Wales duty too. Will no doubt be a tight affair v Port Vale as majority of our results are either 1-0 or 2-1 wins or defeats. Small margins for sure, which at the moment are going in our favour. Would seem both teams are playing possession based tippy tappy shit this season. Only Bolton and Bradford have enjoyed more possession against us in the league so far when we sat back on 2-0 and 3-0 leads so will be interesting to see how things pan out on Saturday. Pitch still holding up although 3 games of rugby have been played on it since our last home game on 31st October. Were well beaten by Carlisle last time out in the EFL and prior to that only Cambridge have beaten us, which in a normal season or was being played at RP would've been abandoned. Probably settle for a draw if Vale are as good as being made out (prior to past week or so).

Sensible move to change to Friday night with both teams in action on Thursday.

hopefully slowly turning in the right direction with our little unbeaten run, would be nice to finally win at home also.

Home to Grimsby. On a good run of form so hoping for another 3 points to keep us moving up the league.

Away at Stevenage...Players have had 8 days to recover Just Politic [season] Edwards [12 months] and Brockbank 2 weeks missing. Think we will start to climb the league now we have a decent 18 and some of the shite have been discarded. Second of 4 games on the bounce against teams starting with S

Someone was saying Colchester are a good team but not having won an away League game. Surely that can’t be right.

perhaps four wins on the bounce for the Stags might be in order then.

A must win away at Southend after slipping up last weekend. I can see Newport beating Port Vale so even more important we get the 3 points.

Two months before the season started you had won the league.

Have close to a full-strength squad to choose from this weekend with Toure back from suspension and Furman and Kayode back from international duty. Just Brennan Dickenson now unavailable. Crawley are a good side but hopefully we can get back to winning ways.

We're at Barrow. If we don't take 20 minutes to start playing then we should have a decent chance. About time we turned all of our possession/shots into a few goals.

pretty much like us then - if we'd turned our 61% possession into goals away against Cambridge last week they would have lost 4-1 or 5-1 instead of getting a lucky draw.....

Funnily enough we had exactly 61% possession against you.... two nil start and 3-1 up in 20 mins
Yet you could not beat us

Think we'll go back to what we know a bit - ie not being on the front foot bossing the game. As the other Vale fans have said this is the type of game we go and win normally but I am not really confident with Joyce missing.

I'm starting to question Leon Legge a bit Vale fans - when he's good, he's good, but I feel like he's had a few stinkers go unnoticed lately. There's been a few crosses into the box leading to goals where you cannot see him on the screen. He has been excellent for us overall though but I think I'd be tempted to play Brizzy rascal, although I doubt it will happen.

The midfield probably will the same as Tuesday. I'd expect Pope to start and the only other position up for grabs is probably left back - I'd favour Monty but I'm not bothered either way.

When do you go out is the question we should be asking after racking up 1800 posts in little over 4 months.

Unsure as to how this one will go, know next to nothing about FGR but we are getting close to full strength, which is much needed given we potentially have 4 games in 8 days.

Ref Leon Legge I also noticed he doesn't seem to be putting it in. Watch the way he jogs back for our third goal against you. If he had sprinted he would have stopped that going in.

We had 62% v Mansfield last week 22-7 on shots and still deservedly lost.

Love Leggey but at his age the games coming as fast as they are is probably not helping. He will generally win everything there is in the air but does seem to be out of form a bit.

Do wish he’d stop thinking he is Johan Cryuff though when he brings the ball out. Gives enough heart attacks doing that!
