drawing 1-1 against Colchester,

They deserved a equaliser but so disappointing it came from a poor goalkeeping mistake from Stech, I must admit his mistakes have been too common this season.

Sounds as though your goal was due to a goalkeeping mistake too, to be fair.

We win in the goalkeeping mistakes, Your goalie should have got something on it but at least it was a decent effort, for our mistake it’s pretty simple, if you are running off the line you need to make sure you are going to get it. Day and night between them, he got lobbed embarrassingly.

Anyway unbeaten in six now all competitions, we are clearly a much better side to the one under Coughlan.

Just looked at our game against Orient...Possession Bolton 56% Orient 44%
Shots Bolton 11 Orient 8.Corners Bolton 9 Orient 4....All that meant jack shit as it ended Orient 4 Bolton 0
Even allowing for Billy the fish gifting them two goals They fully deserved the win.
For some reason teams willing to sit back in this league are reaping the rewards.

Many a lack of fans is not helping, teams sitting in are not feeling the pressure of the home fans against them and the home side struggling to get the tempo with it.

Cannot disagree its unlike any previous season. The only time we have had the least possession Salford,Harrowgate and Cambridge we have come away with a result.

A very fair result, Colchester possibly slightly the better of the 2.

2 poor goalkeeping errors though to concede yet again late on from yet another mistake is annoying.

progress though, we’d have got dicked under coughlan and that was a decent performance

Think you can still get to the play offs ?

not really worth bothering putting any effort in thinking about that currently. Moving away from the relegation zone is the immediate priority

6 months and we will be.

Quite funny reading the replies on twitter suggesting we field our youth team.....
Just about everyone on our message board thinks it’s underhand and it’s easy to reach that conclusion when you notify the league at 9pm the night before the game. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt but it looks shady as.

9.45pm last night and Southend kindly let us know what they’ve had a small number of players test positive for COVID and one other isolating.

Add to that the injuries they have they can only field a squad of 10 players and 2 keepers....

Would make total sense, we haven’t been able to fill the subs bench the past couple of games

Sounds like you have more players injured than COVID cases? If so the game should be played with you drafting the kids in.

Our squad is the kids?? Do you want to play 15/16 year olds?

we’ve literally been playing with the injuries the whole time there hasn’t been any new ones this week it’s not just as we’ve thought don’t fancy Cambridge this week in fact considering we actually won last week I’d imagine we actually wanted to play

Yeah their U18s played the other day, beat Colchester U18s apparently.

I dunno, I think it’s underhand that they cancelled so late especially since it seems to be more down to injuries than Covid - ie it hasn’t suddenly come on. But I’m uncomfortable with them being forced to play a load of kids, I was uncomfortable with what Bolton had to do last year and it doesn’t suddenly make it right just because it happened last year.

We all know the financial problems teams are under, especially the likes of Southend. A bit of humanity would be good. Although it’s taking the piss a bit, I think the game should be postponed to a later date.

Let's be honest you shouldn't be able to call games off like that without punishment, I'd say COVID is a convenient excuse for this happening a few times this season but the EFL have a track record of doing fuck all about it pre-COVID as well so it probably doesn't make a difference. The game will be rearranged when they get around to looking at it in about 4 months time and we will lose.

Feels eerily like the time Swindon called a game off on 2000 under the guise of the fuel strike (which affected no-one else in the country) whilst we were flying in the league and subsequently plummeted down the table.

It just makes it even more confusing now when we had 11 players missing for the game away at Salford and had to use 16 years olds on the bench whilst only naming 5 subs and the EFL said if we didn’t play that fixture then we’d be in for some sort of punishment.

You’d have thought some sort of rules would have been put in place at the start of the season for these kind of scenarios but then again, the EFL couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery.

I will throw my tuppence in for what its worth. Yes we went through something like this last season.
We called a game off with short notice at Doncaster.
Now we did not have a problem putting 7 or 8 youth team players in it was playing them Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday again.
We postponed one game only on Duty of care grounds. Doncaster kicked off and wanted the points awarded
My view is Southend could and should have made the numbers up today with youth team players, but it cannot be ongoing

It’s mad how the team who doesn’t have Covid are always up in arms about it and pushes for the other side to do something daft to benefit themselves. Can’t wait to see Cambridge/Bradfords response when the boot is on the other foot.

Except we can't because of the EFL's strict embargo rules. We're not allowed to register anyone.

Masi... I like you... But in this case. Wind it in.

A global pandemic has fuck all to do with you being run as a car crash of an organisation and getting what you deserve. Stop relating your situation to this. And stop saying Tranmere fans aren’t allowed views on this situation because we beat you last season. It’s proper weird.

Never said you are not allowed a view......its a forum after all. Getting what we deserved [in what way]
I can see the bigger picture.....when are you going to get to play these games??
In this case i have sympathy for both teams

As I keep saying the lack of clear EFL guidance seems to produce a situation where clubs are doing different things, some play on, some call off, some claim they were told they’d be punished, others don’t feel that way, others the opponents say no we are not playing.

It’s the right decision, the competition to be fair deserves clubs to field as stronger side as possible and Cambridge fans are probably somewhat thinking we should play this so we can smash a load of kids 5 or 6-0 and get a free three points.

Makes a mockery if clubs are fielding youth teams down to a virus that isn’t their fault.

Cut the crap out with the youth players. At least 4 teams had a younger average than you in the first 3 months of last season and were not getting beaten every week.. The average age of the side you played against us was over 20.. What was the excuse when you had plenty of experience and were still losing.

There is a huge difference between a pandemic affected shortage of players and a spending money like a lunatic affected shortage of players. Stop comparing self inflicted wounds to unavoidable ones. It makes you look pathetic.

We have been over this one. Go on the Bolton Wanderers official site and read what accounts they have made available. If its too hard get somebody to explain them.

Anyway, Scunthorpe away for us. Rather glad they've won their last 2. We have a habit of losing to teams on a winless run. Think we'll do well, getting key players back - (so we'll probably lose 3-0)

4 teams name them.....prove me wrong
Squad of 18 that day included 13 teenagers.......4 consecutive games we got beat 5-0 5-0 5-0 6-1......Postponed our game v Doncaster in the middle of that run
