Carlisle fans, don't forget it's a 1.30 kick off this afternoon.

I did but I've remembered in time.

Grey skies and breezy down here but not that cold. It has been bucketing down most of the week so the pitch could be a bit heavy (we have a decent pitch).

Gonna be a tough game against Morecambe today. After two away wins we're back at home, last time we played here we lost to Solihull. The two times before that we lost 5-0 and 4-1 respectively. Can't get much worse surely.

Rumours Pope is isolating now which is a blow if true. Cullen has never scored an away goal for us and Theo hasn’t been involved for a few games at all.

Maybe Rodney deserves a run out up front.

Interesting the EFL statement used the word suspended and not postponed.

I think we could get the points once investigated. As rightly pointed out above, Southend had the players to have a game but have tried to pull the wool over the EFL eyes. They should be punished for this.

Ten minutes gone. The game with Crawley has started at a decent pace. Crawley play nice football and it's good to see Nadesan fit and starting. Hope we win though.

Yeah their U18s played the other day, beat Colchester U18s apparently.

I dunno, I think it’s underhand that they cancelled so late especially since it seems to be more down to injuries than Covid - ie it hasn’t suddenly come on. But I’m uncomfortable with them being forced to play a load of kids, I was uncomfortable with what Bolton had to do last year and it doesn’t suddenly make it right just because it happened last year.

We all know the financial problems teams are under, especially the likes of Southend. A bit of humanity would be good. Although it’s taking the piss a bit, I think the game should be postponed to a later date.
Have to say Laker you are a better person than me. My initial response was if it affected us to say “tough, put out whatever team that you can.” But I have to say you have made a very thoughtful, reasoned, compassionate case for your opponents, and I salute you.

Both teams defending well, we might cancel each other out a little bit, but plenty of quality in either side to score goals. Crawley not quite as solid and organised looking as Cheltenham but so far one of the best looking opponents we've faced.

No Pope or Amoo today. Can’t see us getting anything now. Why is Rodney starting rather than McKirdy who is playing well!

1-0 up, Rhys Bennett tap in after the keeper saved a long range Toure shot and then Bennett's first attempt at a rebound. We've created some chances that would have been wonder goals but then score from a scrappy one, but look in control now

Toure looks lively for Carlisle. Where did you get him from?

He looked really good against us too although his final ball was poor that day.

Got to say Crawley gave not looked good in the first half. Carlisle deservedly we inning. Could have been 2.

We can't seem to keep the ball up the top end if the pitch for any length of time and Carlisle are looking to hit us on the break.

Our right side looks poor...it Carlisle left side looks good.

We’ve edged it in the first half but been very wasteful. Deserve to be 1-0 up but not as efficient as we could be in the final third.

Crawley still carrying a threat and I expect them to get a good spell in the second half and punish us and take a point or beat us this second half.

Except we don't have the players. Been explained, embargo. Anyway, it says a new date will be announced soon.

Quite funny seeing the Cambridge fans on twitter, some of the replies are hilarious

We’ve stepped it up a notch second half. Deservedly 2-0 up. Need to finish this now as Crawley still have a threat in Nadesan and Nichols

Hartlepool. He’s good but needs to be more productive with his final ball.

Hartlepool. Funnily the poolie fans were shocked that we signed up and not even fussed that he'd left. One even saying he'd have driven Toure away from Victoria Park himself
They said he started off well for them but warned there’ll come a point where he’ll stop giving a fuck and down tools completely.

Always had a blinder against us in his Hartlepool days - very much a confidence player though

Crawley all at sea.

Everytime Carlisle pump the ball forward they look like scoring.

My only entertainment will come from Yems' after match interview.

Hope we keep this below five goals but I'm not confident.

We'll probably start making subs soon so the players don't tire themselves out. Thought you were pretty good in the first half actually. I look forward to some Yems of wisdom.

Yes I’ve heard that one already yet your U’18’s played this morning which is laughable considering you don’t have enough players.

You’ll probably get away with it and the game will be rescheduled.
