Nigel Travis has to take the FA's fit and proper persons test it seems. Yes, lets all laugh...........

He is rumoured to have offered the managers job back to Ian Hendon with Danny Webb coming back as the assistant.

WHY HENDON AGAIN?! WHY?! The fans hated him by the end last time, albeit it wasn't totally his fault - We know that now, but seriously.......:ffs:

He was at our game Saturday, I know because I saw him walk in with what looked like some henchman/lawyers :shifty:

Hendon is one of the least likeable managers we've had. Incidentally I think Danny Webb is probably second on that list.

Not that I can really complain if it does happen.

A few people now think it will be announced next week......Looks like its a US based consortium possibly led by Nigel Travis and/with our old CEO Matt Porter as the chairman.

Adding fuel to the fire was that our current manager Omer Riza announced four of our pre season fixtures on twitter earlier today, which he has organised:

11th July - Harlow Town (a)
18th July - Lincoln City (H)
29th July - Reading (h)
1st August - Dulwich Hamlet (a)

A few people think he is off, but who knows.

Also as of next season I will have 11 new grounds if Tranmere go up and 10 if FGR go up. The new ones for me are:

Boreham Wood
Maidenhead
Halifax
ACF Fylde
Guisley
Barrow
Aldershot
Gateshead
Eastleigh
Solihull Moors

I've watched us play at all the others in friendlies and league games.

Away at Leyton Orient in a PSE is slightly further than the 3 miles to Lincoln United that we normally venture!

On a Tuesday Night as well!

Poor Omer has since tweeted he's had his wrist slapped by someone for revealing this information. The plot thickens!

If it does happen, we must be down that way for a week.

Wonder whether we're at one of the PL London Clubs or something like West Ham because of Jimmy Walker.

So:

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10766580

This company was established on Thursday. One of Orient's old names (1886-1888 old) was Eagle. Mr Travis is the CEO, Rodney Kent Teague II is listed as a person of significant control, he is Managing Partner of Gold Creek Capital, an investment company based in Texas - Gold Creek Capital LLC is listed as equal shareholder with our Nigel. Mr Teague is also apparently involved with MLS outfit Minnesota United.

Another name linked is Jeffrey Duclow, Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Capital Finance Commercial Services Division. The rumours have been Mr Travis with an American consortium...

Could the Becchetti nightmare soon be over?

Looks like its Nigel Travis with American backers/investors. At least one has had involvement with a football club!

I reckon it could FINALLY happen next week.

The nightmare could soon be finally over.

All we need now is Matt Porter back.

It's going to go to the 12th isn't it? Are there any odds about for us to get relegated yet?
I was hoping something would get sorted ASAP, but it looks like Becchetti and his family are very awkward to deal with.

If we're not sold by the end of the month, then I expect we will find out on June 12th What exactly the hell is going on.

Omer Riza's contract is probably up next week as well...................

Now deleted tweet from our dear manager Omer Riza, professional as always.

Looks like talks will continue this week:

http://www.eastlondonadvertiser.co....-to-meet-potential-buyers-this-week-1-5031158

Becchetti meeting with two interested parties - Which is probably why this has dragged out.

Our manager Omer Riza Tweeted the news earlier today - then took it down after a few hours! Nothing is known about the second bidders though - Bowers Investement Ltd.

Meanwhile, we have no media and Comms manager so despite the fact that two players have left us in two days - Liam Kelly to Coventry and Jordan Bowery to Crewe, the club haven't announced anything!

Here's hoping this gets sorted because we're currently playing catchup.

Aldershot were in a similar situation 3 or 4 years back where things weren't sorted until the very last minute IIRC.
