The Sean O'Driscoll Derby!

At the start of the season Anfield was one ground I most wanted to tick off. Sadly the powers that be up in the Sky decided it should be a Monday night, during my work's most high profile time of the calendar. So no Monday football travels for me.

Was pretty gutted but also pleased with how our first game went, but that was Villa and this might be a different matter all together. It must be said that in both our two Cup meetings with Liverpool in recent years, we were guilty of paying them too much respect and allowing them too much room. Once we got stuck in and tried to assert ourselves, we actually looked decent and created chances. So I hope Howe and the players learn from that and try show what they can do. Those Cup games were with changed squads though, on both sides I'd guess.

A few weeks back Liverpool was the game for which Harry Arter was aiming to recover for and start his season, and he is the heartbeat of our midfield. No update since on his condition, but I hope we see him. Otherwise it'll likely be as you were from Saturday. The seering pace of WIlson and King up top looking to break away or run onto balls over the top when possible, and the midfield 4 working hard to win or keep the ball. Perhaps Everton old boy Distin to come in and help wrestle with Benteke? A certain Dan Gosling has previous with Liverpool as well...

Weird that Howe is going to be manager in a PL game with his original mentor O'Driscoll as assistant manager on the opposite bench...Plenty of people around AFCB who Sean first brought into the club way back when.

Looking forward to this game, Bournmouth play some good stuff and I fully expect Wilson to stay in the Premier League regardless of how Bournmouth finish the season. I think it'll be an incredibly hard fought win for Liverpool. 2-1 or something.

Think I've went for 2 - 0 to Liverpool in the predictor but any result is possible with them and would not put it past a good side like Bournemouth to get a win.

Fuck off. We're either deluded or we're managing expectations. It's like you WANT to dislike us when we're really just a humble group of guys supporting a team with 5 (five) european cups.

What's the "we" bit about, are you guys a hive mind or something!? I was referring to Gilly and Saltire not LiverpoolFans™.

You are at home against a team that just got promoted and you've spent the most money in the league - this should be a walk in the park for you - like my main man G-Dragon says.

And of course I want to dislike you all.

You fuck off.

You know as much as anyone how inconsistent Liverpool can be, the fans are more realistic these days than to expect to win all the time and hence there is a touch of careful caution in every match as they know just how shit the team can play at times and a defeat to a supposed minnow isn't always a great shock.

Anyway enough of this pish - this is Liverpool's year!!!! :p

They are inconsistent, that's true. I'd still expect a comfortable win at Anfield against a new promoted side though. If it way away I'd understand the trepidation.

Anyway last time I mocked someone for being scared to predict a big win their team lost, so what do I know?

You talk down to one of us, you talk down to all of LiverpoolFans™.

I just think anyone predicting that Liverpool will win "easy" is either extremely deluded or extremely lucky.

Hehe you remember that.

I said fuck off first.

Liverpool will probably win, but I doubt it will be easy. They look rubbish this season.

What's with your bollocks obsession?

I think I picked it up after listening to you talk it for years.

We showed last week that our inability to defend high balls into the box that existed in League 1 is still there, bit worried that a pumped up Benteke will make mincemeat of our back four with even reasonable service.

I'll go 3-1, but to even be going to Anfield in a league fixture is an amazing achievement from where we were
