Lovren came in to the middle alongside the Big man and Gomez thrown out to RB and low and behold Lovren done his utmost to make our task that much harder by kicking Aguero in the penalty area ,luckily on this occasion the officials seemed to be suffering from an early onset of Macular degeneration as it was possibly as blatant as it was reckless from our carefree Croatian. I can forgive the Big Dutch fella for conceding the penalty because prior to his aberration he was a colossus at the back by underpinning his class and it was a genuine attempt at winning the ball with a brain conducive with thought ,Dejan's was just another episode of the kind of shite he throws into the mix every time we think he's capable of intelligent and rational thought.

I think both sides would have loved to win this game by accident but the fact remains it suited both teams to stay within hugging distance of the top decidedly more .

He looked adequate mate which is the rating you get when you make those kind of ridiculous rash decisions ,good players tend to learn from past mistakes ,as for Arnold he was rested apparently ,it just seems madness moving a player who has excelled at CB to endure spending the first 15 minutes of the game adjusting once again to a position he is ill at ease with.

I personally think the manager removed an integral ingredient from whats made us look so compact and from a defensive perspective in control. It was evident from the off that Gomez struggled with the arrangement. I know we shared the points but it could have produced a result that would have seen Guardiola reaching for the Kleenex even earlier than when Atkinson pointed to the spot if not for the games myopic officials.
