Aye, read about that....apparently a bet on the Barcelona v Celtic match.....placed on his personal account with Betfair. Oh dear, for a reportedly intelligent person he sure does a whole lotta shit.

I have my doubts about Joey's intelligence. I mean, this man is his own worst enemy it seems. Nearly at every club he played for there were incidents with him where he let his team-mates, the club, the fans down.

He's already suspended by Rangers for the incidents after the Celtic match and now this. If the investigation shows that it was really him who placed the bets then he is a really daft guy. He should've known that this isn't allowed (and the article explains it too, that the Scottish Football Asscociation doesn't allow players to bet on football, if it's the own team or another match).
And then that could be the final nail in the coffin of his (short) Rangers "career"

Big game for both Aberdeen and Rangers up at Pittodrie today. To be honest I am not confident about getting a win up there. It always is difficult up there and the actual hostility is really something else and as bad as a section of Rangers and Celtic fans can be the sheep have a very large number who are no angels. I've been up there and showered with coins while the Police stood back and watched and when one of the guys I was with tried to complain they told him to 'Fuck up' or he would be arrested....nice! Anyway, as for the game....I will be happy if we do not lose.

Have some Rangers fans got bigger expectation than maybe in reality they ought to have?

Very much so mate for this season at least. A lot are actually thinking we should be challenging Celtic for the title. Stuff of dreams in my opinion. Reality for me and also progression would be....finish top 6 this season (anything higher than that would be a bonus) then push on from next season. Step by step if you like. Patience is part of the team's play on the park....it also should be with ambition. We've done well imo to reach the semis of the League cup this season where we meet Celtic on 23rd Oct.

Rangers beat Partick Thistle 2-0 howver this pales into insignificance as a supporters bus travelling to Ibrox for the game was involved in a road accident. 18 supporters were taken to hospital, 3 serious....just been reported that one 39 yr old man has died. Thoughts are with his family.

several years ago these two guys were returning from a Celtic game on the supporters bus and were overheard discussing about attending a Masonic meeting (surely no need to hide the fact that they were Masons as Celtic have always said they are a club who will welcome people of all denominations?). As it turned out several of their Celtic fans on said bus took objection to this revelation and the 'Fucking Proddie bastards' got a sound beating on the bus!

Whilst not meaning to make light of an assault, discussing attending a Masonic meeting on a Celtic fans bus is up there with blessing yourself in the (now deceased) Louden Tavern.

Does anyone deserve to be attacked? Absolutely not, but certain actions are clearly going to inflame some very stupid people.

Discussing attending a Masonic meeting on the street? Weird behaviour, but even the worse Celtic fans aren't going to spontaneously attack someone on Buchanan Street if they said that. Doing it on a Celtic fans bus? That can certainly be perceived as deliberately antagonising.

Or maybe you're right, Celtic have these militant fans who spontaneously attack protestants (or just non Catholics?) or the street, pity it's just never reported anywhere.

Both sides are equally bad.

I have my doubts about Joey's intelligence. I mean, this man is his own worst enemy it seems. Nearly at every club he played for there were incidents with him where he let his team-mates, the club, the fans down.

It's all contextual, he's certainly more articulate (and probably intelligent) than most footballers.

Get a grip of yourself ffs. I made a comment which you ruled out, I cited an example which proved that I was correct. Irrespective of whether the lads were wise to do this considering the location is immaterial (are not all denominations welcome in the Celtic family? I have heard & read many supporters say this) and for you to even suggest that it was an act of antagonism shows clearly that you are merely grasping at straws to justify your previously incorrect comment!

And please, please indicate ANYWHERE that I even hinted at Celtic having some breed of fans who spontaneously attack Protestants on the street or ANYWHERE for that matter. The fact of the matter is that I made a comment which you basically said was incorrect so I gave an example which showed that I was in fact correct.

And for you to end with the comment 'Both sides are equally bad' is strange considering I have already indicated elsewhere, I believe, that an element of Rangers fans are equally as undesirable or words to that effect . I am well aware of the fact but at least I make no piss poor attempt at justifying any of their actions!

Yes, and it wasn't at all convenient that the example you cited, with no evidence or backup besides your word, apparently "proved" your point that some Celtic fans hate all Protestants.

Are all denominations welcome in the Celtic family? I neither know nor care. But if someone turns up to one of their games in an Orange Parade outfit donning a battle of the Boyne flag will they get critical comments? Well, probably. As would any taking a tricolour to a Rangers match. Reinforcing my original point, both sides are as bad as each other.

Is it an act of antagonism? To a normal person of course not, but there are plenty of idiots in Rangers and Celtic support who would view it as an act of antagonism, obviously, making it an incredibly stupid thing to do.

Ah, yes, your convenient example again. What is your actual point again? That Celtic fans are much worse than Rangers fans? Yeah, that's still not flying, not even a little bit. In fact, if you go on a Rangers fans bus, talk about how you're going to mass then a confession (then...whatever else Catholics do) the reaction would have likely been exactly the same.

Yeah, so both sides have an equal number of undesirables element. Idiots who would be idiots regardless of football or religious affiliation. It's not a Scottish problem, it's not a societal problem, it's an idiots problem.

So I'm a liar ? That seems to be your opinion of the example I gave. I have absolutely no reason to do that to prove something to you. I made a comment, you disagreed, I give an example which showed your comment to be incorrect so I am a liar. Pretty pathetic. And I never actually said that ALL Protestants are hated. You can twist and turn and ignore all you want but I know what I say is correct & factual.
What the hell has talking about going to mass/confession got to do with the subject that you are poorly trying to deny? It may be relevant elsewhere but not here mate, a shit attempt at deflection!
Exactly where did I say that Celtic fans are worse than Rangers fans, are you blind or ignorant of what I mention in the last paragraph of my previous post ?

You're a chancer juste lad & no amount of attempted obfuscation by you will change that. learn to live with it!

Very defensive response, especially as I never called you a liar, or indeed even mentioned that word once.

Maybe some Celtic fans do hate Protestants (making their choice to live here rather bizarre) but it's far more likely they are just idiots trying to antagonise fellow idiots during a game of football. Maybe some people from Manchesters genuinely despise Liverpudlians, or far more likely, they just like chanting nonsense at them during a football match. And vice versa and so on.

Making it all childish and, rather than being offensive, actually more deserving of mocking contempt.

The mass was obviously a direct comparison to talking about attending a Masonic meeting on a Celtic fans bus. A sentence that becomes no less extraordinary the more you type it. Right up there with "when I wore my Ireland top to a Rangers game".

Chances obfuscation was googled? Oh, choose yourself.

No you didn't use the word 'liar', you didn't need to. You don't believe me....same difference! You're going round and round in your poor attempt to convince yourself (because you certainly will not convince me) that you have a monopoly on what is factually correct and incorrect here juste lad. You say 'maybe' & 'far more likely'....not quite as certain as previously eh? Fact is....I know what I said is factually correct which proves what I said & you are actually disbelieving me without any evidence or proof that I am incorrect so basically your theory has sunk . Water down all you want to consider certain acts childish rather than offensive....says more about you than it does anyone else. Bottom line is your floundering & you know it.
Google obfuscation ? Naw....ah jist looked it up to make masel seem smert......Oh dear.....

Well, I said idiotic not childish. And yes I guess it does say something about me - I don't get offended or wound up by idiots.

And yes, that does look likely.

Oh, I must have misread your previous post where you said...'Making it all childish and, rather than being offensive'....oooops, no I didn't....;)

The SFA have charged wee Joey for betting on 44 football matches. Why do these daft c***s think they'll get away with this activity when they know full well it is against the footballing association's rules.

Yeah I get that they are tied to him and they'd have to pay out to release him, but its one thing after another. He's always been bad news, but even though most people are a bit of a dickhead in their teens and twenties, by the time they are in their thirties they mature; this is definitely not the case with that idiot.

A much needed win up at Inverness last night but once again although having the vast majority of possession we only won thanks to an absolute belter of a first half strike courtesy of elder statesman Kenny Miller. Tell ye what though, what a fucking waste of £1.8 mill that Joey Garner is. He is one obnoxious wee c***!
