Our team basically picks itself if Ameobi is fit:-

Fitzsimons
Tootle
Brisley
Duffy
Dickinson
Hawkridge
Hewitt
Yates
Grant
Stead
Ameobi

Think most people would bring Dan Jones back at left back, but Nolan seems to have decided that Dicko has done enough to keep it.

I remember that game to we was dead and buried that season we sent you down but helped Coventry stay up I always remember in the disabled area at Notts a little boy a Luton fan born with no forearms leaning on the barriers and crying his eyes out when we sent you down

I remember the season particularly the home game v Luton for Wednesday, we took an early lead through Hirsty before they turned it around inside the first half with Preece and Scott Oakes netting at the Kop end, Tricky Trev inspired us second half as Willo and Harkes completed our late comeback.

At Kenilworth we drew 2-2 with Shez scoring a flicked up free kick, Le Tissier copied it a year later and to this day folks are still wanking over it.

I may have this wrong but when we played County at ours in 92 they wore a purple kit?

Was also at the game. Strange seeing our own fans segregated from eachother by rubble and a crane. Very lacklustre performance and a result that still hurts. The fans were up for it and were convinced we'd survive, afterall we were playing already relegated Notts County and Coventry had a much tougher game at Villa which they lost. A very un Luton like performance. Perhaps we felt that another last game of the season decider was just one too many. The Sheff Wed fan migh remember another escape act by us a couple of seasons earlier. A win at Derby and a defeat for Wednesday at Forest meant we stayed up. I'd much rather remember that game.
We were original members of the Premier league but never got to play in it. Same for County as well I guess.

This one Southey? A classic vintage away shirt IMO.

Or perhaps this one, but it's really horrible -

Tbf though, there were so many shite kits back in the 90's.

I remember that great escape in 1990, was made worse by the rumour going round that Derby had levelled late on, that said we deserved to go down for that meek surrender v Forest.

After sending Luton down (with ourselves obviously) that game, I remember the following season Watford fans bringing banner to Meadow Lane thanking us for that one performance.

So happy to say I saw us in the top flight of English Football, for all of one season.
Some teams currently at L2 will now never say the same

Yep remember that season well. I still put our relegation to a cheating Ronny rosenthal and Mark Walters, oh that and the 2 hammerings against Leeds and those who we shalt not speak at the beginning of the season. Still watching Stuart Pearce at the Shitty groundntake his trademark free kick only for it to hit the highest roof behind the goal.

Yeah think we sold ours out yesterday but if not they’ll only be 20 odd left.

Still a couple of hundred left apparently. No idea what the allocation is but wasn’t expecting us to sell out - we never travel well south of Nottingham for some reason.

The away allocation is just over 1,000 these days as the Oak Road is split between home and away fans.

McCormack and Cuthbert out, Collins and Cornick should be fit. As strong as we have been without them if all four were unavailable it would weaken us against a strong Notts side. Could especially be vulnerable aerially without Cuthbert and Collins. We would potentially only have two first team strikers in Hylton and Lee. My hunch is at least one of Collins and Cornick will be fit.

Would probably take a draw if you offered it me.

squad is strong, confidence is high and we can score from many positions until late in a game....
county fans,as the away contingent, would settle for a draw if offered to them......
we should not expect anything less from a team that's now finding its feet at the top of the table other than a win....
we have the strength in depth to overcome injuries to key players as long as our manager utilizes them well...

Normally 800 fans would be a decent following for County but this is a game between the top two and you'd expect to County to shift a 1000 tickets, not the biggest of allocations. In fact I've never known County to bring many fans to KR. Are you away followings generally poor? If so what's the reason.

Don't agree with Hatter 86. I want the win. There is no point in thrashing lesser sides at home if we can't win key games. Swindon and Coventry were poor results and we need to show that we are capable of beating our promotion rivals on our patch. Our form would suggest we can win this even if County adopt spoiling tactics. One things for sure KR will be bouncing on Saturday.

Put away followings are pretty mixed to say the least local derbies are always over 1500 run of the mill awaydays about 350 swelled by exiled pies on trips to London and new grounds. We must have averaged over 500 this season. Most notts fans have it in their head travelling to Russia for the World Cup is safer than a trip to Luton and almost expect the grim reaper himself to be present and lurking near the station for unsuspecting away fans.

I thought we would shift 1000.

I think Lutons hooligan reputation stems from an era long gone. There is next to no trouble at games these days and even if there was the slightest hint it would be dealt with by the OTT police presence. Of course you still get a few lads looking for trouble I suppose but most of them will target games where they expect the oppositon to bring a few of their own. Which in league two is next on no-one. Should we reach the championship again then the risk may return but not at this level. Going to Luton is a good footballing experience. An old school ground with a decent atmosphere. Rather that than an empty bowl Coventry style. I'm sure KR will be sadly missed should (hopefully when) the new ground materializes.

Aye, as everyone knows our entire fanbase is at least sixty, though. I went to Luton for the first time last season and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It’s quite honestly one of the easiest trips of the season by train.

Good ground for atmosphere for sure , but the area around the ground. Shudder.

It’s a get in, watch the game, get out kind of an away fixture.

It’s easy, but also bizarrely expensive. A standard adult return from Nottingham to Luton is almost £50, which is absolutely mental for such a quick, easy journey. East Midlands Trains are basically a cartel.

Last minute rush on sales should hopefully see around 1,000 travel, don't think that's too bad for a 200-mile round trip just before Christmas, no pay-on-the day is always going to knock a few off too.

As for the game, draw now please. Nolan reckons he has been looking at Luton and has 'identified a couple of weaknesses', I suspect one may be a slightly susceptibility to high balls as mentioned above, so expect a fairly direct approach, especially if Shola is fit. Then all we have to work out is stopping you scoring 3+...

Where’s good to park? Anywhere good to go before the game?
