Hey Oakey. We're improving. We got battered last two times we met sides we thought were defining games versus big opponents.

I also have some doubts about our big game mentality. For all the excellence of Stech his fear or inability in dealing with crosses has been a concern for a while. It was always gonna bite us in the arse at some point. As somoene said above he has to have flaws or he'd be way higher. Disappointing it was this game. A win would have sent a real statement.

Weve got to send it again - we all have known an organised side could nullify us and shut us down and hurt us with aerial power or fast breaks. Jones is young and inexperienced but he is hungry and humble enough in his personal evaluations to learn and improve. Would have been nice to win but we have to acknowledge County were worthy of at least a point and we perhaps arent as good as we think, esp against good sides

Notts were second in the table on equal points. Its not a walkover! You can't win them all.
We've lost 1 game in 20 in all competitions and unbeaten in 9.
Only PSG have scored more goals in all of the top five European countries pro divisions than us.

We're doing OK.

I thought that you lacked a bit of width, if anything. Was expecting it to be a game where Tootle and Dickinson were pinned back, but if anything they were more in the game as attackers, particularly in that first twenty minutes.

To be honest, as interesting as it was as a game, it was probably just two good teams cancelling each other out. Not sure either side created a single decent chance that didn’t come from a set piece.

We're doing brilliantly i acknowledge that
and i'm not knocking the team or the squad assembled...the quality of it should see us through..
but will it be because of nj's management or despite it?
that's my only concern....you don't win titles by choosing your best players over your best team..there is a difference..
can he realize that when push comes to shove ?
sometimes he dumfounds me with his illogical decisions regarding when he should protect a lead or change tactics during a game...depending on our situation or disciplinary issues with players on the field

To be honest with your squad. You should be running away with it. In terms of goals you are, but having a team like Notts which was essentially dead and buried at one point last season hanging on I can see why some Luton fans may question whether Nathan Jones is the right guy.

Luton will win the league, no doubt in my mind. I don't even care if Notts win it, 2nd or 3rd would do me absolutely fine.

There's no question that Jones has well and truly fallen on his feet with his first job in management. With the financial backing he has been given and the patience that the board has shown through the inevitable teething troubles of a first time manager there can't be many people given a better opportunity to succeed. That said I don't think you can deny he's also making the most of that opportunity now. He's combining style with results both in the League and the Cups, he's shown an ability to learn from his mistakes and he handles the fans and the media pretty well. Can't really get my head around any Luton fans finding anything to moan about at the moment, I'm absolutely loving this season so far, even more than the Conference winning season under Still.

nothing can compare with getting out of that shit hole!! wembley 88 aside !!
Nothing will be more important than that but I'm talking strictly about enjoyment and that season was more stressful that this because of the fact it was only 1 automatic promotion spot and it was so win or bust.

I haven't given Jones a hard time, or seen anyone else do so. I love him. Hes passionate and willing to learn. I do think the Luton job is a big one at this level and hes lived up to it - above all others in recent times. I'm not sure hes been backed that much more than others either and hes done extremely well in the transfer market - be that him or those around him, its his team...............But hes not perfect. He makes mistakes and we're not as good as some might think. He has an excellent chance to go far in the game and lets hope ts leading us. Really looking forward to the Newcastle test and the rest of the season. Its so nice to be on an uptick after so many years of doldrums and then stop start.
