The decision is supposed to be on Tuesday 11th August I believe. Hope we keep Macc.
Because like with everything with the EFL, it's all about self interest. Is it decision day or just hearing day?
It'll kick up another storm if Macclesfield are deducted more points and get relegated without having their PPG calculated correctly as well.
I know I sound like a broken record, but it's such an obvious, and important, point that you'd have to be seriously thick not to have realised the impact it could have further down the line. I'm still genuinely gobsmacked that those at the EFL, presumably half intelligent people, didn't spot the error in their proposals and even more gobsmacked that only one club brought it to their attention. It's pretty basic common sense and maths.
Stevenage seem to be signing players like they haven't a care in the world, must be pretty confident it's going to be a resolved in their favour. The decision is supposed to be on Tuesday 11th August I believe. Hope we keep Macc.
Thing is that they deducted Macclesfield points, but Stevenage managed to find a new level of shit to drop to. So they deducted more points from Macclesfield and once again Stevenage managed to limbo beneath the newly lowered bar that had been set.Difficult one this. The EFL are trying to show they have some balls now (yeah I know, they are still a bunch of fucktards), and Macclesfield are in the wrong, but as I said before, the EFL should look at the integrity of the league and the clubs in it, if clubs actually fail due to their actions, they failing in their duty to all the clubs in the league. I think Stevenage could survive if tey are still relegated, i'm not sure Macclesfield could

End of the week probably. Today is only the hearing. At what point today is the decision made? Almost feels like fixture-release day.

Let them play off....Winner stays
I have aired my opinion on this before - while I'm not ok with Macc not paying the players on time on several occasions, I think Boro fully deserve to go down as they were comfortably the poorest side in L2 this year. Though they didn't look it when they smashed us 4 nil at the Abbey
Having said that, it's pretty clear the EFL want rid of Macc and I think they'll do just that. Another thing is I find Luke Prosser signing for Boro a bit odd, as in why would he go to a NL club when he can easily join a FL club?
I want Macc to stay up but I don't think it's going to happen. Hopefully I'm wrong.
We have to hope that the independent commission see it that way also and have some decency in not allowing the EFL just to "get what they want". We've committed crimes, for which we've been punished (more than we should have due to PPG). I do still think that there is this misconception that we didnt pay wages due to not having money - we had the money just the crooked owner decided to keep it for himself and move it around his accounts to cover other stuff for himself. He's now no longer in control of club finances so hopefully this is a big tick for us in appeasing the EFL.I have aired my opinion on this before - while I'm not ok with Macc not paying the players on time on several occasions, I think Boro fully deserve to go down as they were comfortably the poorest side in L2 this year. Not a chance though that they'll delay the start of the season because Macc are appealing. If Macc get relegated it would be chaos for next season surely as they would appeal? Thus even longer it would drag and potentially impact next season starting as planned?
