Just read a stat The away win at Liverpool is United's only away league win in 4 months....ouch How has LVG still got a job and how on earth are we still in touch with the top 4. really can't see United getting a result here I'm certain the palm Tree will start and as it's City Supporting Michael Oliver who is the ref Fellaini will be sent off

Because clearly the board have written this season and dont seem to care how embarrassing it gets.

Can we please play nicely over the weekend. This is a heated fixture of course, but there is always a line of what is reasonable. Any more personally abusive and derogatory language towards each other will result in warnings and perhaps a period away to cool off.
Please try and keep it on the football, that's what we're all here for.
Thanks

Tbh yes, even you. Okay, not terrible, and clearly amazing by Leicester's standards, but you'll probably end up with the lowest winning points total in 20 years.

Maybe, though if we are to win it I'd imagine we'll need to outdo the Utd tally of 2010/11 and 2000/01 both 80 points.

It's as if everyone else knows LvG will keep his job as long as top 4 is mathematically possible, so they're all pitching in to make it last.

Woodward is cuckolding the fans.

That's how it was with Moyes so at least there is some consistency...I suppose?

No, I can't put a positive spin on it.

For the money they've spent, he should have calf muscles made out of titanium.

Amirite?

That's the point i was making with my comments. Well done for proving it :obama:

Silks, man, I actually like reading some of your stuff you post over at the news and current events section. But right about now you're the dude coming across all unhinged.

Chill out. Football gets tribal innit, point scoring - it happens. Stop being a precious little c***.

This all started when I questioned why Kompany not being rested was anything to do with 'money'. Then Slater devolved into the same old script and didn't actually offer any further argument, and the rest of the usual suspects piled in, again just rehashing the same old stuff.

Stop spewing tired old soundbites. That's all I'm saying.

I don't think they want Mourinho for some reason, and seem to be waiting for the right replacement to be free in the summer?

Or doing the same as they did with Moyes and waiting until top four is impossible before doing it. If they do finish fourth though, would that mean he might be staying on?

Quite.

You decided to turn it into a strawman. If you disagree that City shouldn't be reliant on playing a man that's suffered with many injuries over his career, for the game time I've stated straight after coming back from a long absence, that's your prerogative. Just don't act out like a child and then play victim.

I bet tomorrow will be the most boring 0-0 ever and the only highlight in this thread will be all our bickering :)

Because clearly the board have written this season and dont seem to care how embarrassing it gets.

I can't exactly remember after which game it was, but there was a press conference in which even LVG was uncertain of his future and seemed to have thrown in the towel in regards to the rest of United's season, didn't even look like he wanted to be there anymore which made it all the more baffling why Woody persisted with him. It was probably then the board decided to write off this campaign and assured LVG of his job until the summer at the very least. Given the way things have been handled post Fergie (whose departure the club had all the time in the world to prepare for) I have absolutely no hope that this is part of some deliberated plan where work is being conducted behind the scenes for United's next move. A move that'll pottentially set the club's trajectory for the next decade after having already spent the past 3 years yo-yoing before catastrophically imploding and ending up arguably worse (certainly if you consider the transfer windows since appointment and money spent) than post Moyes; unbalanced squad, no identity in the football and the inevitable rot that would have settled in the team through LVG's indoctrination of an outdated unambitious pussy footing philosophy.

There needs to be a shake-up of those making decisions above the manager and we desperately need a director of football to work with the clueless c*** (football wise) that is Ed Woodward. Otherwise we're pretty fucked.

You probably just need to hire a manager who isn't a bit of a dinosaur who's best years were in the last millennium.

The first part of that also applied to City, but it won't help for the rest of this season.

It's either going to be a frustrating as fuck 0-0 or United will score early and City will collapse. There's probably the chance of one of those rare occasions this season where things click for City (this is a comfy fence) but that's probably the least likely of the three.

United win this and it's all very tight for that 4th spot. 1pt between themselves, City and West Ham.. and Liverpool if they win their games in hand. Even Southampton and Stoke would have half a shout

Chance for Navas, but I'm not confident with that back line...
