Fact check: This is fake news. We've scored more goals than everybody bar Man City.

Fact check, when you're playing a team that Mourinho feels are capable of being a threat, you revert to shit football. It's the way he works. You won today, but it was a shit game. You drew at Anfield playing shit football. And I have no doubt it will continue with the other bigger teams like Chelsea, City and Arsenal. Boring. Shit. Football. It's inevitable when, in such games, the manager believes it's more important not to lose than win. Even when he's in charge of a team like Manchester United and their record of league success. It must be damn frustrating as fans of a certain age who have only ever known their team to start every game (regardless of opposition) looking for the win. Father Fergie would be ashamed with such tactics.

The old certain age jab at the end there, he's calling you a child Nilsson.

Or an old fart.

One of the two.

You seem to be more frustrated by it than anybody else  United fans are fine, Jose isn't perfect but he has a proven track record, won us 2 trophies last season and we've started this season very well indeed (last week aside).

We've been a bit more workmanlike in midfield since our best player got injured but we've still managed get decent results and when he returns I'm sure to start steamrolling past teams again. Once again, we're 2nd in the goals scored tally, that alone would suggest that your comment was outrageously false.

I was certainly frustrated at the last two Anfield fixtures, guilty as charged. It's annoying when lower quality teams come to our place with the express intention of picking up a point, but at least it's understandable why they do it. When United rock up with their tedious brand of anti-football, and you look at the value of the squad the boring cnut of a manager has to choose from, there is no excuse for it.

But it can't be argued with as to effectiveness. But to be playing such football whenever you play your main rivals? Come on, admit it, it must be a bit shit?

And my comment was about today's type of fixture, I should have made that clearer. Beating the likes of West Ham and Everton 4-0 is a different kettle of fish.

It's not whenever we play our main rivals. At home we always give it a good go against anyone. But going away to places like Anfield, I don't have a problem with us deploying more defensive tactics. Fergie didn't have the best of records there, did he? And I think Mourinho hasn't lost there in his last six attempts, so he knows what he's doing.

It the last game at Anfield we were definitely too negative than what was required, but it takes two to tango, we were waiting for the home team to make a big push for the win so we could catch them on the counter but they never did. Decent point in the end.

Can you see City going to Old Trafford (or any of the other contenders/top 4 grounds) and setting up for a point? Or Chelsea? Or Arsenal? Or Spurs? Or us? Nah, all these teams start every game wanting to pick up all the points and the playing style reflects that. Sure, it might not always work but at least the intention was there and the games as a result are enjoyable to watch for the most part. With United and Mourinho not conceding is the first priority in such fixtures (and in some at home too, depending on the opposition), and if you manage to bag a goal and take the game then great. But it just feels........wrong? You know, given the team in question and what they have done in the last 2-3 decades? And that is coming from a scouser who detests the club. It must feel even more so for people who have supported them during that time.

I think you've been a bit brainwashed by that lunatic Liverpool manager of yours with next to nothing it terms of tactical nous.

It's not setting up for a point. It's setting up to beat a team on the counter attack, it's obviously worked very well for Mourinho throughout his career so why would he change it? And it's nowhere near as bad as you seem to think it is, 90% of the time we play better football than most in this league. But I couldn't give 2 shits about how any other team play. I'm certainly not jealous of how Arsenal play away in the big games.

20 hours with conceding at home Salty mate. Bet you wish Kloppers could actually organise a football team fluke those kind of results.
3 goals conceded at home since April Gibbo, that's not shabby. ;)

It's away from home we tend to be gash.

You too. Mourinho has caused Liverpool plenty of heartache over the years, I'm sure this is your way of dealing with it.

Stockport County.
If Liverpool had had United's season so far, tied in with the smattering of silverware last season there would be flags and banners with their manager's face on. There would be a media wankfest after beating Spurs today with the paper's asking whether they can keep going.

FWIW, United actually remind me of Liverpool under Houllier and Benitez. Will win knockout cups, generally solid, not majorly exciting and will most likely fall short in the league due to their being better quality team(s) the (s) is for Chelsea- behind United atm, but they're a better side, along with the Arabs of Beswick.

Liverpool fans will wear whatever cap they're given. History has told us this. They won't win another league in anybody on this forum's lifetime unless they get serious investment.

No but I can see you getting battered and conceding 9 goals at City and Spurs. You're criticising Mourinho for not being a dumbass mate. Klopp is welcome to stick to his "heavy metal" football and continue to under perform. Not sure why he should be praised for being a ridiculously limited tactician though.

Praised? Where?

And I mentioned more teams than just Liverpool. Given that my point or the subject wasn't about them.

Four first-teamers out doesn't help things. As for limited tactician, its strange how he has a winning record against Mourinho.

Funny how he mentioned Spurs aswell, under Poch they've only won one game in the 16 games he's managed away at fellow top six clubs. These are definitely the sort of clubs Mourinho should try to imitate away in the big games.
