Yet another failure at Notts. Nice to know they're good at something

A massively expensive mistake for Hardy and looks like typical ridiculous Notts, but I don’t see how Kewell could’ve come back from burning his bridges with half of the team and the entire fanbase in ten weeks. It just hasn’t worked at all.

I suspect it may be no coincidence that Neal Ardley, who we also approached when appointing Kewell, left Wimbledon yesterday.

Just needs someone sensible like that to come in, Hardy to stick his nose out trying to influence the style of play, and we’ll be fine. It’s a good squad of players.

Holy shit Batman. Have to say if a club deserves non league football it’s us. That’s not to say I think Kewell was doing a good job, but an organisation can’t continue to make years and years of such utterly shit decisions, while spending a fortune in the process, and expect to survive.

Always got one club that really loses the plot a season... Notts are this years candidate!

Had to be done mind, he seemed completely deluded... if he genuinely thought they played well at our place for example and deserved wins then he isn't likely to try and rectify a problem he cant see.

Rumours that he’d managed to fall out with Jon Stead, which is a genuinely impressive achievement, man is the model professional.

Even for us this is bad :D

Can’t say I’m disappointed though, it never felt right. And if it’s true that he had fallen out with Jon Stead, one of the few who has looked like they actually gave a fook this season, I’m doubly glad.

Looks like it will be Appleton or Ardley next, either of which would be a vast improvement.

If you were a manager worth your salt, you'd not touch them with a barge-pole would you?

Carlton Palmer is available

Alan Hardy is the biggest problem.

Comical stuff from a club that is once again nothing more than a laughing stock.

Probably guesswork by Curtis, but Appleton would be great.

Hardy going through managers like Trew did.

As he was a fan watching Trew make countless mistakes you would think he would avoid doing the same.

Saying that it’s a lot easier to be jumpy and impulsive when you’ve spent serious money of your money on the squad/club and not just your average £350-400 Season Ticket price.

I don’t mind this move as long as Hardy changes his tune in the media and doesn’t repeat the same approach. More conservative , more careful, more silent approach please Alan but keep spending he money please lol.

Fair play to YouPies who absolutely nailed it early doors when saying HK would be gone by Xmas. He’s my fellow pie hero on here now and we should all listen to his wise words

Notts County are a candidate for that accolade most seasons!

Notts seem to have money to throw away on ex managers. I bet Nolan and Kewell have good legal advice and are paid a good chunk so I doubt they have just walked away. It must impact your playing budget for the January sales no matter who you get in.

The players need to look at themselves here. Much as I am not a fan of Kewell: to fail under two managers must mean some soul searching needs doing.

It’s true it’s a rollercoaster and rarely dull. More bust than boom but that’s usually the case at this level ain’t it?

Take your time Alan and avoid the bright lights and shiny CVs

No doubt hiring and firing impacts future transfer spends/budgets etc . It’s so common at Meadow Lane that it much be factored in each season !

Mate, you actually paid good money for Flitcroft.

Appleton would do me, or Bowyer if he could be tempted back into the game. Dons fans seem to think Ardley could do with a break from football.

Fuck off Notts - I was actually semi-confident ahead of Saturday's game. Then you go and throw a spanner in the works.

Yep, I've said before that Hardy comes across as an emotional, knee-jerk kind of Chairman, which isn't the kind you want or need.

He's cost himself a lot of money this season with player purchases, two manager and backroom sackings and a third group to follow. That on top of what he said he was covering as well. Problem is, once you start chasing trying to right the wrongs, it all gets a bit messy.

We did, but in essence still came out with a slight profit after Evans.

(Look at me defending him!) we're also on 28 points and lost 1 game all season. Fat Al needs to tone it down, he's massively cringe
