Probably Dario when he was at Crewe would have had a similar sort of deal. Great stuff though absolutely love DC, between him and Flitcroft they’ve transformed our club from one of the leagues biggest laughing stocks.

Shrewd move, he's had some good success at these levels and if gets Vale promoted he will have suitors in the Championship you'd imagine, so plenty of compo would be required.

It’s why I will be very interested with Walsall next season mate. You’ve got a cracking manager who is proven to get teams in the playoffs regularly. If he doesn’t succeed there at some point with Pomlett it stops being a coincidence.

Yep. With the right backing their manager should achieve playoffs minimum. If they don't, you're quite right, maybe the managers aren't the problem.

Chuffed to bits as have to admit I was worried if we lost say Saturday he may leave especially if wanting to be closer to home (believe he’s based around the south coast).

It’s a gamble in if it goes wrong a years time it’s difficult to then make a change but so far there’s not been a sign of that and shows we are trying to put the right foundations in place.

Covers us if we go up and suitors start sniffing around as well.
