The Bradford Holiday Inn Express are reporting a series of calls from a Kent landline number, my sources tell me.

Stockport County.
Gallinsons Galacticos, the pony tail Perez has spent a fortune there. He doesn't just expect to win, he expects to win at a canter. Harris has paid the ultimate price.

They shithoused a win at ours opening day, they were solid at the back but limited going forward. Thought they possibly did have the tools under Harris to be another Stevenage type outfit but the ownership there want more obviously with what has been spent.

Be interesting to see who gets the gig at places like Bradford and Gillingham. A manager who backs themselves should be up for either.

I think Wild has probably earned his shot at a bigger club and it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at VP.

As for Gills, I wonder if Flynn might be on their shopping list.

Lindsey moved to Crawley to be nearer his family in Kent. I heard he had some tragedy in his home life and wanted to be closer.

Never say never but a move to Bradford would be surprising.

Casey
How much nearer to Kent does he want to go do you reckon?

Feels very Crowley brothers doesn’t it this one. Although are they damaged goods now? Hasn’t really worked for them anywhere since Lincoln.

Williamson is a great manager who has done wonders at Gateshead, but it’d take a year to implement his style of play coming after Hughes. Not sure he’d get the time.
I can see why people think that but at Huddersfield they look over a relegated PL side that was slashing their budget, hadn't won for aaagges and were rock bottom of the Championship. He kept them up and over the course of a season would have been nicely slotted into that mid-table pack and was really a casualty of heads being banged together in the Boardroom and all sorts of issues up there, which I think ended up in the old Chairman taking the Club back over (they've not exactly faired any better since they left either).

Pompey don't have the budget that you'd think for the size of the Club. I'm sure they pay well but I imagine the likes of Oxford, Posh, Rotherham etc pay equal or more, then if you throw your big hitters in like Derby, Ipswich, Wednesday etc. Still had a 45% win ratio there, too.

I think they'd go for the Gillingham job personally. Decent size club, local to them, money now with the American ownership and a bit of a project. Big mates with Harris, but I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing!

I'd imagine Bradford would interest them to a certain point but, and I can only go off the odd comments I've seen on here, I'm not sure they'd get on with a numpty of a CEO.

Harris' overall record with the club had some pretty startling statistics involved.

I don't have the exact numbers to hand, but it's something like 55 goals in 75 games, never scored more than 2 in a league game, never won a game when conceding first.

Massive emphasis on defensive football which is OK to a point, but with the players we have we shouldn't be trying to bore our way to 1-0 wins over Harrogate and Sutton.

He's had plenty of time to address the goalscoring issue and hasn't. I didn't really have faith in him tactically, and the not winning from losing positions stat suggests that he has a serious problem changing things tactically to get us back into a game. On Tuesday at Crewe we were well in the game at half time despite being behind, but second half his tactic was just to keep putting on additional attackers and hope rather than stick with the original plan which was causing Crewe problems.

They have commented that our vacancy is a fantastic opportunity, didn’t take them long I imagine their CV is one in the intray.

Outside looking in the decision on Harris is a bit curious

Points wise it's been a solid start, especially given the injury CRISIS (N.B. not Mansfield proportions)

He's also very experienced having managed many games at a much higher level. Orient got promoted last season by basically winning 1 nil so the template was there

Performance was boring but do you care if you're winning?

You’re right, I didn’t.

I didn’t mind most of the managers we’ve appointed during the last 25 years.

It’s a potential issue for Bradford with Harris gone, if Gills want the same manager they will offer a lot more than Bradford I imagine.

Apparently Hughes was on £5k+ per week.

We’ll get the guy we want.

But we’re not talking players, we’re talking managers in a thread about managers.

Gills will offer more than you if you go for the same manager.

Not sure on Cowley - isn't his style of football pretty dull?

If a manager has a choice between Bradford or Gillingham, there is only one place they’re going right now
Bradford for me still all day long. Gillingham got lots of money but Bradford's budget is up there and the crowds, potential etc. It would be a great club to re-vitalise.
