Gills will offer more than you if you go for the same manager.
Of course they will.

Exactly that. The problem is, we’ll now have a new assistant manager, a new recruitment team, a turnover of 17 players next summer after they’ve cancelled the 2/3 year contracts at great expense to the club, in order to rebuild in the new managers image, to then sack him within 18 months.Bradford remind me a lot of us before we went down and sorted ourselves out, but an even bigger and more egregiously failing version. Looking at that list of managers, it's all just people with a big reputation either at the level or more widely, with Stuart McCall thrown in for another go every couple of years. There's no consistency or identity to it, just blindly hoping the next one will be the bloke who cracks it.
Not really. Sure, they’re underperforming but they’re not relegation fodder. I do think they may have to write this season off and let any new man have time to sort it ready for next season.Bradford remind me a lot of us before we went down and sorted ourselves out, but an even bigger and more egregiously failing version. Nope, are you thinking of Pompey? In my mind the Cowleys have already managed Gillingham. I'm sure they have.
Our big issue is we need more footballing knowledge above the manager, a young ceo who came from rugby and I’m not even sure followed football before he came here and an owner who’s not a despot but just not interested in football(it’s a long story why he got involved, but he was more or less strong armed into it by a business partner who he later sacked). We aren’t a total calamity of a club but just lack a lot of footballing expertise. As long as the owner sees we are break even I don’t think he gives a shit.Bradford remind me a lot of us before we went down and sorted ourselves out, but an even bigger and more egregiously failing version. This is one area we're quite strong in really - Kenny Jackett and Hess as part of the recruitment set up, both of whom have managed at Championship level, plus Keith Millen in the youth set up (caretaker manager for saturday) who has managed at a decent level and at decent clubs himself (albeit mainly in a caretaker role over the years). Gives us a wealth of experience to call upon on a variety of issues, not least in getting a new manager in the door. He played for us as well.Crawley fans will obviously hope otherwise, but Scott Lindsey would be a good shout for the Gillingham job, was/is based in Medway I think? Used to commute to Glos when he was assistant here as his kids went to school around there. After he sadly lost his wife he needed a job closer to home and managed Chatham Town for a bit.
You Mansfield lot are getting awfully boring with the same dull rhetoric.
Well we’ve got a player in caretaker charge, just hope he’s popular in the dressing room so they at least bust a ball for him. Oh and the guy picking the next manager is 31 and used to be at a rugby club before coming to us to control the twitter account. At no point on Tuesday did I feel like Gillingham were 'well in the game'. There was a sitter that you missed but other than that... NoHarris' overall record with the club had some pretty startling statistics involved.
I don't have the exact numbers to hand, but it's something like 55 goals in 75 games, never scored more than 2 in a league game, never won a game when conceding first.
Massive emphasis on defensive football which is OK to a point, but with the players we have we shouldn't be trying to bore our way to 1-0 wins over Harrogate and Sutton.
He's had plenty of time to address the goalscoring issue and hasn't. I didn't really have faith in him tactically, and the not winning from losing positions stat suggests that he has a serious problem changing things tactically to get us back into a game. On Tuesday at Crewe we were well in the game at half time despite being behind, but second half his tactic was just to keep putting on additional attackers and hope rather than stick with the original plan which was causing Crewe problems.
I don’t think we had a shot on target in the second half. But yes, opposition fans can see our problems so the sacking is not as crazy as the league position suggests. At no point on Tuesday did I feel like Gillingham were 'well in the game'. Bloke is a complete waster. Quite how he's kept his job is beyond me.Said it two years ago and got a few pelters back but I'll say it again, Ryan Sparks is a ridiculous crying manbaby. Sack him before you appoint the next manager and you might kick on.

Because you have a useless owner who’s sole ambition is not to lose money, no doubt the lowest paid CEO in the football league.I'd not heard of him before so just looked him up. How did he get that job? Did he win a competition? Doesn't seem to have the CV or experience of someone you'd want running a club the size of Bradford.
