Rumours Matt Sadler could be on his bike very soon stupid appointment in the first place very similar to what Tranmere did.

Been told we spoke with Richardson last week who himself spoke to Jamie Walker where they were together at Wigan.

It surprises me that you're struggling, you looked like a really good team when you came to The Alex. We were definitely on an off day but you should've won that game quite comfortably.

He must have turned us down then, I see his odds have drifted from being odds on favourite before weekend.

Be surprised if he went there. Also be surprised if you guys were even truly after him.

He's been in management less than a year. The Alex have improved in his tenure no doubt, but there are still lots of question marks over him. He's still a novice as managers go, he's making mistakes on and off the pitch which he's trying to learn from. I don't think he's at the stage of his career where he should be leaving a half finished rebuild here to go and try and rescue a bigger club.

He's from the local area and lives only a few miles from Crewe, so uprooting his family or living away from them at this stage feels unlikely. It's an odd link, I'd have thought you guys would have preferred his predecessor in Artell. Or someone more proven. Doubt this goes anywhere, but worth keeping an eye on.

If Evans went to Bradford I'd expect half the behind the scenes staff to leave due to his previous up there.

Inexperience doesn't bother me personally. We've been down the experienced, serial winner, proven at this level route and none of them have worked and quite frankly some have failed miserably.

When you see some of the fantastic jobs being done up and down the EFL by young coaches in their first job, it makes it hard to argue against going down this route, especially since all other avenues have failed. I'm hoping we go down the inexperienced route but someone like Bell may fit in the middle since he's had a year in the hotseat already.

Not a cat in hells chance Bell will leave for another League Two job. Settled in Alsager for years, has a low pressure job and knows he'll be here for years unless it goes into Davis/Artell level disaster. I think this is a source either getting Bell and Artell mixed up or just a lazy punt.

Peter O’Rourke usually gets things spot on to be fair.

I mean if we're going off the fact Bradford are considering him then I'm not surprised he's being considered as he's doing an excellent job.

But I'm pretty confident he's not leaving this job for one at Bradford where he absolutely won't last long thus killing his managerial career very very quickly.

Yeah, I just can't see it. If he keeps doing as well as he is at the moment, I'm sure he'll leave for a bigger club eventually. However, Crewe is his club, he's spent most of his life here and I'd be shocked if he gave up the manager's job after less than a year.
