No chance of that happening especially after he called for County to be thrown out of the league last year because of the pitch issues! Not liked by our fans at all. I want to see the board give Hatswell a chance & if that doesn't work out then start looking around. Not sure why but Cooper went straight to the top of the bookies list for the Newport job.
Yep!! he was seen in nandos in the city centre friday night comparing cv's with pep and jurgan. Not sure why but Cooper went straight to the top of the bookies list for the Newport job.
Happened with the Swindon job just a few weeks after he joined us. Definitely someone playing silly beggars, as I doubt the bookies are 'that' clueless. Not sure why but Cooper went straight to the top of the bookies list for the Newport job.
Coops is doing Okay up there in Cumbria, Barrow a fag paper away from place in the play-offs.Happened with the Swindon job just a few weeks after he joined us. Definitely someone playing silly beggars, as I doubt the bookies are 'that' clueless.
A lot of our fans want Neil Cox out.
Issue is that who's gonna sack him? Our chairman hasn't been seen at a game in months and clearly has no interest in the club.
Also no idea who we would replace him with, someone even worse I would imagine.
Same with our fans who want Beech out, the suggestions for who we could get in fall into three categories:A lot of our fans want Neil Cox out.

It'll most likely be Tony McMahon who obviously wouldn't be an improvement over Neil CoxInternal appointment I guess?
Same with our fans who want Beech out, the suggestions for who we could get in fall into three categories:
a) unrealistic big-names, or managers expected to make the step up such as Flynn, all of whom would be a major coup should they come to us, and we haven't had a coup up here since, well ever.
b) managers with terrible recent track records, some of whom are more despised by fans of their former clubs than Beech is by our fans, e.g. Keith Hill and Russel Slade (maybe there's just one Carlisle fan who is a big Slade fan but someone always says 'why don't we go for Slade' every time we're looking for a new manager.)
c) former players with no managerial experience but 'would get the fans behind them' (you mean like Beech did up until results went south?) New managers have never had an issue getting the fans behind them with good results while the last former player we had managing us was Graham Kavanagh and poor results very quickly lost him any goodwill he had from his playing days.
The fans won't be happy if Beech was sacked and we made an internal appointment, reminds us of Kavanagh and 'the cheap option'.
I guess it depends just how convinced people are that we're going down as things stand. If you've decided that there's currently 0% chance of survival then even a 1% chance represents an improvement and you're probably willing to accept anyone as manager, and a good number of our fans seem to be convinced at the moment that no scenarios in which Beech manages the club will end in survival.
Shades of when Abbott was sacked, although he was sacked pretty early in the season and we had made an even worse start than this season. I'm not prepared to argue that he would have kept us up, but I'm sure he'd have done a better job than Kav ended up doing and if I could go back in time now and make that decision again then I'd not sack Abbott. If we've only got the next Kav lined up to manage us then I'd not sack Beech.
Michael Bridges actually, who was close to getting the job before Beech got it, but I'm sure Grainger's name will also pop up if I look at what more United fans are saying. I'm all for ex players being in the running for the manager position (should it become available) but don't see 'getting the fans behind him' as being the solution to the problem we have right now; and in any case, being a former player buys you no extra time with the fans.I'm sure we had one or two people mention Grainger as a choice when Evatt and Dunn left as he fit in the young manager keen to progress mould like Evatt did, but were more than likely on the wind up. I'd imagine he's been mentioned in category C you list there, as if the NPL Division 1 West counts as legitimate experience.
Probability-wise, and I know I'm always wary about sacking managers compared to you I see our chances of survival as 70/30 under Beech... 30% chance of relegation is a disaster given we were hoping to compete for promotion... but if we sack Beech then it becomes 50/50 in my eyes, because there's every chance we will appoint someone far worse, hence my comparison to the appointment of Kavanagh. I feel like we're at least as likely to appoint the next Kavanagh as we are to appoint the next Beech or Curle (in the seasons they were appointed to keep us up).But at this stage I don’t think we can afford not to sack Beech. It looks to me like he’s lost most of the dressing room. They don’t believe in what he’s telling them to do. He isn’t turning this around and we’re only going to get worse and continue heading towards bottom spot.
70/30 is very optimistic given how bad we’ve been over the last 34 games. Even the 7 wins in that run, we’ve probably played well in 2 or 3 of them max.Probability-wise, and I know I'm always wary about sacking managers compared to you I see our chances of survival as 70/30 under Beech... 30% chance of relegation is a disaster given we were hoping to compete for promotion... but if we sack Beech then it becomes 50/50 in my eyes, because there's every chance we will appoint someone far worse, hence my comparison to the appointment of Kavanagh. There were rumours a few weeks ago that he was going at the end of September. On the principle that the simplest explanation is usually correct, the precision of the date suggests he handed in his notice as per his contract which ran until the end of the season.Strange old situation this at Newport, haven’t really noticed if reasons have been given?

James Rowberry looks to be favourite! i would be happy with that, young ambitious and on top of that just like flynn a Newport boy, of the others only morrison would interest me.Next Newport Manager Odds | Favourites | BettingOdds.com

Craig Harrison might be worth a punt, known for his success in Wales. He may think League Two is a step down from the National League jobs he's really interested in though.
Probably cold with the lack of hairTisdale as a 'cold, calculated manager' eh? Who would have thought it.
