Bloody hell. We made hard work of that. Tend to agree we pressed so well first half we may have tired ourselves out. But we completely stopped playing any form of football. So much hoofball in the second half compared to the first half where we played some brilliant stuff. Did our usual trick of giving away a soft penalty. Luckily, Johnson saved it this time but then some awful defending led to a decent finish from Enzio.

The equaliser woke us up and we began to play football again. Cracking strike from Campbell but Slocombe probably should have saved it. We saw the game out well from that point, I'll give us that. Overall, I think we just about deserved the win and it's a very good 3 points. Shocking performance from County. Expected a lot better from them.

I think just about deserved is selling yourselves short, would’ve been a travesty if we’d have got anything out of that game.

First big test of our owners. I would still be extremely surprised if Ardley wasn’t here until the summer at least, and that decision is probably easier because there’s no fans there. But it would also be a huge missed opportunity if we don’t go up this season - everything has been put in place for NA really.

We have been poor for a while now, our last three home games against Chessie, King Lynn and yourselves have been carbon copies of each other, particularly in the first half, with the opposition pressing us high when we were in possession, and walking through us when they were in possession. The only reason we got a point against Lynn was thanks to a pair of decent finishes from Wootton.

Hard to defend Ardley now. Doyle and Reeves in the centre of the park just isn't working. We also have a central midfielder on loan from Barnsley, whose fans claim should be in and around their first team squad, but he doesn't get much of a look-in, except for FA Trophy games...

You pressed us so much in the first half that you were knackered and had to sit back, same happened to Chesterfield a couple of weeks ago. You played really well second half too, just in a different way.
Bollocks we wore them out for you Saturday

For the first time since joining the club Ardley's post match interview was very telling.
Nervous, stuttering, incorrect words in sentences, repeating himself.

He looks as though he knows this may be his last few games. He also said he wont be changing the side despite the issues in the midfield.

First time I have public said that NA now needs to go.

Ooooh don't be critical. Born to be a bellend doesnt like it. We aimed long hoofs up the field for 90% of the 2nd half as a tactic to lure them in. Quick start farting rainbows so he knows everything is all rosy and bright

It's funny how we both saw it exactly the same way. But of course born to be a bellend is the one that knows football. Go figure haha

Agree with all that, he sounded like a beaten man.
There was nothing on the bench to change the game, we've not played well most of the season and have gone from grinding out wins with clean sheets to conceding and not looking like getting back into games, never mind scoring enough to win.
I think the Reedtz who'll be looking at the state and ppg will be close to pulling the trigger.
We're now pinning our hopes on a young lad from Bradford PA. who won't be fully fit and has been part time.

Unless something radical happens between now and the end of the season I can't see anyone else apart from 6 of the current top 7 and Chesterfield making the play offs (either ourselves or Eastleigh giving way for Chesterfield) good result for Halifax notwithstanding.

:bang:OMG! You BOTH agree with each other. That means YOU must be right and I must be wrong, cuz that's how it works innit. Right? I mean, especially with you both being football geniuses, huh?

#RollingOnTheFloorLaughingMyFuckingArseOff

Here's what an ACTUAL genius said about this kind of logic: "If I was wrong, ONE would be enough".

Ciao. :ds:

This Halifax shit is getting tedious as fuck now, hope Halifax go up so i don’t have to read it all next season when we’re back down here.

Losing to The Shaymen is always the final indignity for any struggling manager. :ds:

I do apologise. I've only been on here a couple of months. I'm sure you've all had a lot longer to get used to and ignore the obnoxious bellend. From now on any quotes he makes I will be ignoring.

I apologise for my townsfellows, they're not usually allowed outside the city limits. They must have slipped out under the barbed wire when their carers weren't looking. :woot:

A bit meh when I saw the result like but considering we were 10 men for 3/4 of the game, suppose you'll take that. Want to see the Killip error for the goal but overall he's been much better this season. Made a vital stop late on at Torquay Saturday and his distribution is an asset.

Eastleigh at home next, they'll be no mugs but then after that we've got a run of 'easier' games on paper. 5 or 6 in a row against struggling sides.

In a way I'm kind of glad they're not going down. They definitely deserve it but I kind of enjoy that away day. Even if the tickets are more expensive than most and their stewards throw supporters out for swearing.

Swear when I last went they threw at least a dozen of our fans out. Never seen anything like it.

That social club at the back of the away end is massive though, I love it.

Good to see a few clubs making some attempt to show they want to go up.We have solidified our 5th place with 10 home games and only 6 away left.
We should end up in the playoffs for the annual lottery.
Next season will be our season but the players seem to be raking in the bonuses as they push for promotion this season

Beginning to think that if Dover were to start again in the Kent league & make their way back to the NL Notts will still be here [with Wrexham]. Really thought they’d be promoted back quickly.

We're filthy rich now, our time here is coming to an end.

Do hope Dover get thrown out, it's a ridiculous distance to travel for a football match and the place is a dive. It's one of those tinpot clubs that have a group of half a dozen chavs following them too, swinging punches at innocent fans whenever one of the big boys come to town.

Which team was that against?
It was us. A young lad punched a man in his 60s in the back of the head outside the cricketers which knocked him out briefly. Police were questioning the lads not long after, as me and a friend were in the pub watching a rugby match.

In fairness I don't hold that against the club themselves, most club (including ourselves) have idiots following them. It's mainly your chairman that annoys the hell out of me.

If this Sutton Town don't win this league this year from the position they're in, the term "Devon Loch" will be put to bed for good and replaced with "doing a Sutton".

We’ve reached 50 points, we’re safe from relegation which means we’ve achieved everything we’ve set out to do this season, anything else is just a bonus at this point.

Well job done then, time to stick a few cheeky furloughs in and feet up rest of the season.

Doing a Sutton is a whole other thing, as we will soon see.

Swap their place with Guernsey, its easier to get to.
