He's a real c*** that man. Absolute sellout.

Nail us down for relegation.

One of those rare times that a move is good for both clubs.

Aside from thinking that he's as two faced as they come, he will get Eastleigh motivated, and we get a chance to bring in someone that can take us on to another level and play better football hopefully. A lot of talented youngster are waiting to come through but have been stifled by the hoof ball that we've largely dealt in for the past year.

That hoof ball as got you upto the playoff positions if someone comes in and changes the way you play it will take time for the team to gel.

Nope, hoof ball had us near the bottom of the table. He moved to a more balanced approach in the last few games and results picked up.

Rossi Eames appointed interim manager. He joined us as the Prozone analyst in 2009 and has worked his way up through the age groups and done great work with the academy. It's his job to lose.

That's a problem in its self. Allen IMOP uses Barnet as he knows he will always be taken back. Hopefully for them that is the last they see of him.
Why would they even think of taking him back? It would be madness as he's just a fucking mercenary. :£:£:£

Good luck to him if he does get it and he will certainly know the players that have come through the system.

When I ask this, please, please, please don't think i'm being sarcastic or a knob (I can sometimes be either or both at the same time!) but what exactly is the "next level" for Barnet?

Baring in mind I follow Mansfield I can't imagine it'll be massively different, just curious of expectations

Challenging for promotion from this division..
After all, if Accy and Morecambe have made the play-offs in recent years why can't we?

Well if we are in a pyramid, and in League Two, then the next level would be... I can sometimes be sarcastic and a knob too. ;)

We've spent a lot on the infrastructure of The Hive, and spent a lot more than in recent times on the squad, a lot of that money wasted. We've got a good youth setup which has done well in the past couple of years, so the next level is operating at the right end of the table, bringing more of those youth players through and looking to get into League One. Not unrealistic given the resources we have now.

But Allen can take teams to that level.
It was only a couple of years ago he won League 2.
I actually like Martin Allen, and from the outside at least he seems to have done a very good job at Barnet again this time.
Taking over in the conference, getting promoted and now sitting outside the play offs in League One on goal difference only.
The way he has treated Barnet though is pretty distasteful.
If I were a Barnet fan I would be fucking fuming with him.

He can from a standing start. But the bluster gets old news after a while which is why he moves on. He's best suited to going into a club where he can motivate an existing crop of players and add a couple more faces in. The longer he stays and the more players he brings in, ironically, the staler it gets.

He's a wanker and I cannot wish him well. I appreciate the Conference win and he did do well, but I was pissed off when we let him back this time and even more so now.

He's nothing but a money grabbing arsehole. He'll spew out the usual shit like 'were all human with bills to pay' but that's no excuse for being a twat.

That's right - Brentford, Notts County and Eastleigh.
For me, it would be understandable if a club of the stature of the fake Bees or County (as they were at the time, not now) tempted him away but Eastleigh?!! For goodness sake man, retain a bit of dignity for yourself!

There's definitely the potential to be challenging for the playoffs. We have a solid youth system now and we are not the basket case we were from about 2008 to 2012, going through a truck load of players and managers due to our lack of forward planni

If I were a Barnet fan I would be fucking fuming with him.

His transfer market activity has been mostly below par since promotion, and the quality of football has got worse, although with L2 looking poor this year we've still had enough organisation and workrate about us to get decent results and there's very little chance of us actually going down under him because his motivational skills are good enough to stop things going completely off the rails.

He's too limited tactically and too stuck in his ways in terms of giving opportunities to the same technically limited players over and over to push us to the playoffs without a siginificantly increased budget.

I suspect Kleanthous was already starting to lose patience with him after a second summer of signing up players on two year deals and not inexpensive wages who struggle to make the starting XI (Watson, Nicholls, Akpa Akpro).

My hope is that Rossi has us playing good football and winning and doesn't get caught like a rabbit in the headlines. If he can keep us in the top half this season with our current squad I'll be happy but I think he can push us on beyond that.

I fully believe Barnet have a crop of quite decent players currently, and that's why I predicted them to either make the play offs this year or at the least give it a good go. Plus, I fully agree with Rudeboy - if other clubs like Stanley and Morecambe can challenge at the top end then so can Barnet and other similar sized clubs. L2 is a far cry from the connie as down there you can more or less safely predict the top 6/7 sides while up here (ahem!), it's a lot harder to predict who'll make the play offs, barring of course 2 or 3 big sides like Pompey and Luton.

BTW, I hope the Barnet fans organise some sort of protest/boycott when Allen inevitably returns for his fifth spell in charge.

I hope Barnet tell him to fuck off next time he gets sacked and comes crawling back for a job.

I am actually happy about this. He was absolutely clueless tactically and his team selections were baffling to say the least.

The football he played for the majority was abysmal and driving fans away in their droves, the league table is currently a false reputation of how we've played this season (it really is a piss poor league). A month ago we were in the bottom two and couldn't see where the next win was coming from.

His transfers since coming in bar Akinde have been shocking, his interviews were infuriating i could go on.

As long as we get the next appointment slightly right it'll be an improvement.

where did Ronnie Moore go then?
Got sacked a few days ago, maybe even yesterday. That was one of those ones that seemed decent on paper, but Moore hasn't managed in Non-League for 20 years. Eastleigh should be doing better than they are. Wouldn't be surprised to see them push themselves ahead of Barrow, Daggers and Dover now with Allen in charge.

Although, I also wouldn't be surprised at all to see him coming over the Hive horizon on the last day of the season to save Barnet from relegation.

Who do you Bees fancy to come in then?

Good luck to Martin, absolute top bloke.

He was offered a different job assuming more money, good on you for taking it.

You left us in a very good place.

Reading URBANS comments are embarrassing, it's football FFS get a grip!

I assume it's drink or an age thing.

The guy is genuinely decent bloke and as a Barnet fan I thank him
