My worry is last season Ardley didnt really know what he was doing, he just had players who could either get us in front or come on and score.
This season seems to be more his style as in avoid conceding. We went down from L2 because we simply couldnt defend, in some respects the same could be said about most of last season.
Hes now gone full circle and wants our attack to defend rather than getting into space after we lose posession.

Someone said on mad that we'd win the playoffs having drew all the games 0-0 and win on penos!

Weymouth, last season, would be a game we would lose, it'd be interesting to see how NA sets the team up before the season gets cancelled!

Lol, Orsi was something like 11/5 to score anytime, should have gone for that.

The odds were very strange, the goalscorers market had about eight Yeovil players with shorter odds than any Maidenhead player.

Chris Dagnall was their favourite, which shows how much they know as he's past it.

I think that’s a bit harsh - pretty sure we ended last season with the best defensive record in the league. I’ve got plenty of doubts about Ardley, but setting up a defence isn’t one of them.

Do agree that he’s a bit reliant on the idea of being very solid, having lots of the ball and then with good attacking players one of them will do something brilliant and win the game. Worked last night, and will work more often when Roberts is fit again, but there’s far more to get out of our forward players than that IMO.

Poor first 75, but ultimately a good win against an expensively assembled and well organised team who’ll probably still be up there. Rodrigues is a bit of an enigma, can mess up a series of five yard passes, but he at least tries to make something happen in the final third. And I do like the look of Knowles. He must have a very high ratio of pitch minutes/involvement in goals. Would like to see him start soon.

I think Rodrigues is going to be class, but potentially not until next season or a lot later in this one. Always involved and really skilful, but does have a tendency to look baffled at the state of the pitches and the tackling sometimes.
