Interesting game that. Woking always looked a bit dodgy at the back but it was pretty even in the first 30 and Woking had the better chances. Then Holman scored from nothing and between 30-70 minutes we absolutely strolled it and should have scored a few more, we were quite literally just running past their defense and getting through on goal at will. Holman is so clinical it's unreal.

Havn't really seen much of McNulty so can't really comment on how good he is, but the consistently brilliant Josh Gowling performances this season means I would be staggered if there is a better CB than him at the minute.
McNulty is much better than Gowling.

Do you get to many Orient games, usually seem to post on here from somewhere else.
Radio Kent shares your view of the game; all Dover. Rovers are short of options on the bench if we do go behind.

Not particularly, still probably seen Orient the most this season although Dagenham and Wycombe run them close.

As for the Higdon comment, he's obviously got previous pedigree but today literally all he did was rip Raggett's shirt - completely dominated by him otherwise. Whilst we're talking about good centre halfs, Raggett has to be up there.

Second half was more even, Tranmere improved signicantly with the formation change and really either side could have gone on to win. Raggett hitting the bar was the closest either side came, but despite a 0-0 it was a fairly enjoyable game, especially the second half.

'Alty unluckily came up against the best forward ever in non league in Andy Cook, best manager ever in Paul Cook, and have just parted company with the second best manager ever in Lee Sinnott," etc............ ;)
Perhaps you could get him in for next season's tilt at promotion.

Good day for Wrexham and a missed chance for us.

Need to beat Dover on Tuesday now.
A very frustrating afternoon, had a chance to make it 2 just before Macc levelled.
It those narrow margins that will cost us.
No away wins since November doesn't help either.

Both of our "centres backs" today are actually midfielders, both full backs having an attacking mindset as well. As you said, the first 30 minutes proved we can actually play football and I personally was very pleased at that stage, then everything went tits up, as it has done for god knows how many games in a row. Expected loss at the end of the day, can't wait for this weird season to be over.

Pretty much agree with all of this. Very tight game for 30 mins, Holman scored and we then juts ran away with it with Holman taking the michael.

Loved this pic tweeted by the CTFC official account when we went 4-0 up as well:

Agree with the others we were lethargic for the first 30 minutes then total dominance when we looked several leagues above Woking. 4-0 was flattering for Woking in fairness but I am sure we will face tougher tests on the run in.

We were rubbish, Altrincham were worse - one of the worst sides we've hosted, but their two goals were great. Easily the smallest side in this division and that's probably their downfall.

We were lucky to get level before half time having offered nothing. Jordan Williams is a player we signed from Northwich and probably our best player - should play in the Football League before too long.

Who have we got Tomlinson on loan from? He's garbage.
As most warned, the football under Cox is dreadful.

Oh, we won 3-2.
A Gannon find, rather annoying that you lot nabbed a couple of weeks before we got Sir James back - Chester also did the same with Astles.

That doesn't surprise me at all.

A three goal or less defeat would be decent, but I'm going for Cheltenham 5 Woking 0 with at least three from Holman. Nice confidence booster for Cheltenham. If they fail to beat us, it's more than just a blip.

Oh dear. We're going to get pulverised today, aren't we?

Here's my match report on today's game at Cheltenham, it was written in advance. One change, we lost 4-0 and not 5-0.

The BBC's report on the Dover v Tranmere game said it was a drab match with the highlight being when the ref got injured. Glad I missed this one!

He's on loan from us and he's contracted to us for another season. Looks like he never settled down in London and we should never have signed him.

Hednesford 3-3 Alfreton (Payne pen 13, Pen 24, Fitzwater 37) (Heaton 32,Bradley (pen 65, Smith 70)

WARNING - LENGTHY POST AHEAD
Well where the fuck do I start with today? The defending on show from both sides was Midland League not Conference North.

Truly disastrous first half. 2 penalties and down to 10 men after 23 minutes is ridiculous. Can no complaints with either penalty decision or the Sending off. Really poor from Sam Jones. Blatant stamp on the Hednesford defender right in front of the ref. He had no choice.

The ref really struggled to keep control though. Things threatened to boil over on multiple occasions with Frank and Sinclair and Nicky Law squaring up to each other at one point
We were so bad at the back in the first half it was almost laughable. Hendesford were awful and we made them look great. Niall Heaton did head home his first goal for the club from a Corner.

We came out second half on a mission. We were much the better side and it was difficult to tell who had the 10 men. MOTM Dan Bradley again. Jesus he is wasted in the Conference North. Hednesford just good not cope with him. The Ref awarded the third penalty of the game to us with 25 minutes to go after a blatant tug back on Sam Smith. Bradley made no mistake from 12 yards before 5 minutes later his corner was headed home by Sam Smith to make it 3-3. Dan Bradley then pulled several top saves out of the Hednesford keeper as we pushed for a winner. We almost chucked it away at the end though as Peers bundled through before being denied by Matt Duke.

We regressed badly though today. Back to our pre christmas kamikaze defending. It could have been 6-6 today. Neither defence had an ounce of composure in them.

The atmosphere began to get quite Toxic at the end with Hednesford fans shouting abuse at their own Directors/Chairman

I cant tell you how bad Hednesford where. The worse team at this level by a mile. Absolutely doomed IMO. Will probably finish bottom.

Not the best from us today, always was likely to be tough mind you. They deserved it and probably should have scored more. Some terrific defending from Heneghan and Astles and goalkeeping from Thompson at times.

For all that though we were beaten by a pen, and we had a blatant one turned down ourselves as well.

Another comfortable win today. Guiseley offered little going forward and there was a ridiculous moment just before half time when James Hurst hit the deck holding his face when Lee Minshull did nothing more than touch his shoulder. Luckily the referee saw it for the cheating that it was.

Goldberg hasn't been a fan favourite this season, but had a great impact coming on. Minshull was everywhere and Gordon did everything but score. Now for three away games in a row.

Just confirmed what everyone apart from a select few Lincoln fans knew. The side is good enough for the Top 10, just not quite for the play-offs.

It's no worry. Next season or two will be the test.

In regards to the forum as a whole, I think it's good that the Woking fans have been taught a lesson in humility.

The end.

Only eight games remaining in this awful noddy league. It was very disrespectful for the FL to demote us in the first place.
I won't miss this league full of part time shiitwits.

The funniest thing about this post is that it's written by a fan of Cheltenham.

Nah, the Cheltenham fans have pretty much disowned him. I can only assume his mother gave birth to him with shit still in his mouth.

McNulty is much better than Gowling.
Is he heckers like. McNulty is class at this level, but much better than Gowling? Not having that. I'll say the same thing I say every time someone waxes lyrical to to such an extent about McNulty: Kaid Mohamed, Wimbledon v Fleetwood 2010/11 playoffs. Like a butter through knife. No prizes for guessing who the butter was. It's all well and good saying, "as long as he's got someone fast alongside him", but on a Conference budget that's not always possible.

We may still get a 'best of three' triple-header at the end of this horrible season, and we'll be able to judge better...
