I'm originally from the Home Counties dontcha know, what what?
Abused as a child then? I have 3 children, born in Manchester, Belfast and Limerick, all forced to support Grimsby by me, the authorities haven't charged me with anything though...maybe they'll catch up with me one day...

Well yes but thats another story. ..

We moved to the Wrexham area when I was 9 and me and my Dad went to a few of the local sides to watch games. Something about Wrexham just got under our skin and we just started only going there. Then they played Arsenal in the cup and my fate was sealed. Been a firm red ever since.

Sure the red card will be on BT Sport very shortly.
Grimsby were the better side even with 10 men for an hour but didn't create enough chances for their possession mainly caused by our hopeless midfield inability to a great deal with the ball.
Rhead is Rhead loved by the team he plays for and hated by everyone else. Gowling was idiot for letting under his skin especially straight after Pearson was told to behave after manhandling Rhead moments earlier.
We were poor but a got point and if Hearn had been playing I reckon he'd have a lot better with the chances Nolan and Simmons had in the second half.
Farman and Wood played well, onto Gateshead.

Better than being supporting a moderately successful but incredibly boring club like Reading I guess...

Torquay and Altrincham need new cameramen. The Bromley one could do without celebrating behind the camera too. That pole in the way at Guiseley is Non-League. Scenes in the Macc away end.

Thought the highlights show was good, didn't do a lot wrong.

Agree, it did exactly what it needed to do. Kept it simple and showed the goals/key moments. Very impressed.

Just read this thread to see if any ex-Daleys doing anything much.

Nice to hear Sam Russell had a good game for Gateshead.

Flat track bullies - 30 of our sixty-odd points last year came against Crewe, Crawley, Col Ewe, Orient and Yeovil, who were all pretty abysmal.

Rhead - why does the phrase "I went down professionally" make me think "Deep Throat"

Yakubu injured 12 months with an anterior cruciate injury. Amazing that we've lost our two best players for the entire season within seven games. A top 10 finish would be a great achievement now. Such a shame after finishing 7th last season.

WTF has happened to us ? Alot down to swapping formations, tinkering with the back four? Have the fans turned on Brabin already ?

We're still gelling. It's painfully obvious that the squad has been lacking width and pace in the first 6 games, but to be fair to Brabin he started Mekki on Monday and Jackson looked very promising when he came on down the right at half time. All of the players you would expect Brabin to have pinned his hopes on have been missing so far - Norwood has missed the last 5, Mangan is still getting match fitness, Riley is even further behind and Maynard, whilst out of position, has offered barely anything.

That being said, the were signs on Monday that it is starting to click. Having Hogan back made a massive difference and Mangan is looking sharper every game. Yes, it was annoying to lose the late goals but for 75 minutes we were more than comfortable and should have been about 4-1 up (Kidderminster denied a blatant penalty for handball). I was losing faith we were ever going to progress from long ball crap after Altrincham, but Monday has given me renewed hope that once we do click, we'll be a good side.

We're not going up this year though, maybe next is a more realistic target.

How are things in Grimsby just now. Can't imagine you were expecting such a bad start.

Shame about Wrexham too. They're having a good season, but already 6 points behind the Dale Vince project.

Why, who else is injured?

It hasn't been mentioned much, but Scott Rendell. Fortunately having the best manager in the league helps.

Sorry mate, saying things like "best" and "doing well" aren't allowed unless you support Wrexham.
